In 90 % of all the posts I see everyone is trying to get a vehicle registered in a state that the vehicle has never been in.
And probably will never be in. Then they want the tags sent to a different state.
I don't get it. You buy a truck from auction in Ca. let's just say, you pay extra for a...
If they would have only finished the upgrade package with the Momo steering wheel, 42 " super swampers, and killer sound system , and LED under body lighting it would have probably survived.
Someday my wife is going to make me clean out my garage and sell all the doors I have.
And to think I have been cutting them in half and making half doors out of them.
Go figure. I know Mullaney it's hilarious. Back in the day trucks were hard to find and parts were a plenty
I may just do that. I have one of the kits I bought many years back.
I got too much stuff already bolted up top to install the dam thing and be able to clear everything with a cupola installed as it is.
Curious what kind of tricks you had to do.
The wiring loom is massive .
You could also try and modify something like this to work in /on your HMMWV.
It's massive system but it could be trim down a bit .
Sutton Surplus - Military Surplus Trucks and Equipment - Eyecon 360 Light kit 360 for MRAP RG33 - M923 - Caiman - HMMWV
I hope you get the system figured out.
You would probably have a few people interested in them should you decide to offer a finished product.
Especially if it can be made to fit in a BFT screen frame and control Box.
I can send you some pictures and measurements!!
BH
I'd love it if you could build it into the BFT screen and hard drive.
Then it would look like it belongs in the vehicle for those that try to keep everything looking OEM.
As to the GPS How about the Dagger or Slugger or Plugger or whatever the original military systems already exist out there...
Well since no one has said it.
Make sure you can get it registered for the street if that is your ultimate desire.
Nothing worse than buying it and finding out it's off highway only.
sometimes buying one that's already registered and plated in your state is a plus.
Main reason is it leaks. ok for wrench turners but the guys that don't know how or don't want to work on their own stuff would find it a pain in the ass and most people don't probably ever take their truck off the road.
Here are a few pictures of what I believe is a Military CTIS pump.
4 wires...
I believe the compressor was mounted up on the shelf near the windshield washer reservoir.
I think I have one someplace I can take a picture of it.
Thats all I can contribute.
I was planning on just plumbing to a storage tank and not do the whole CTIS hub thing.
Nice work.
I just cut 4 x doors in half right below the window and skinned them.
But that was back in the day parts were a plenty and trucks were hard to find.
Not much to photograph really. I just cut a section of it off above the wire cage and then re welded.
At the moment the fording exhaust is off the truck due to a recent parade. Didn't want exhaust blowing on the people in back of HMMWV so I but on normal exhaust pipe.
Horse ---------- Water-------------- Drink
You don't honestly expect him to try and help himself do you.
Ok I'm going to go crawl back under my bridge now.
I think I need to change my title to curmudgeon.
You also should do some research on charging lithium-ion batteries. they charge differently than AGM's and standard lead acid do with a standard
automotive style alternator generator.
Where did the 3rd guy sit?
The ones I've seen out here had a 3rd seat above the motor.
the guys out here had 3 to 4 frames and one that was pretty much like yours but had the rear seat and all the weapon mounts on it.
very cool. have fun with it.
