As promised, here's a pic on the M-135 at the toy collection point. Next year they want to do a "Fill the Deuce" event. We're in! The second pic is of a 4 legged security system, watching his ride being finished, just before the toy run. A Bronco with a Chevvy drive train!
As is expected, with 12 hours notice, they asked for the M-135 for a toy run. Yes, we will do it an post pics later, but, can these people not plan? Where's the OPS Order or even Warning order. We will play.... does any body Plan?
It's for kids before Christmas, so there is no way that I can...
I've been hooked since the day I drove my first MLVW. Now I'm training new drivers for the M-135, for parade and display use. Yep, my DND-404's are somewhat expired. To drive one is to love one! Even my wife has stopped being jealous...Finally!
We still run the Allisons in our fleet, and aside from the occasional blown torque converter, our goofs aren't able to kill them. Good luck, and please post your progress pics!
Totally awesome. I'm so glad that the hobby lets our troops know that we remember. It really does mean a lot to them. The vets appreciate it even more.... All flavours, shapes and colors... Thank you Vets! Because of you I have the freedom to complain. I try to use my judgement to not do that...
The very quick answer is, to avoid problems, go through the scales. There is a lane for under loaded trucks, but you would be best to take the lane over the scales. The inspector will probably only stop you to bs about your sweet new cargo. You'll be under weight, so you'll have no problems. All...
I'm not sure how to do this yet, but under my profile, I posted some pics of Remembrace Day '09 with the M-135 I will post the whole thing at legion118.com tis week! When I figure out this site, I'll put them here for all to enjoy!
Chehalis convoy? Who, what, where, most importantly WHEN? Have Deuce will travel.... especially if there is a Legion post nearby and beer can be involved!
Lt. Leschert. CF ( Retired/ retreaded!)
Send me details pls. The truck owner and I as tech advisor/ driving instructor are interested in a...
If it looks like the one in my photo, it's probably a M-135. GMC inline 6. 305 190 hp. 4 speed hydramatic, 2 range transfer case. Hope it's sweet. If the canvass is good you might have a nice toy. there aren't may of them left up here.

Welcome to the club. Be forewarned that this is a very addictive hobby. It isn't quite as expensive as boating..... I did say not quite did I not? It's all good! Stan.
Today was the first official parade for the M135 under new and loving ownership. I'll post the photos tomorrow, but the crowds loved it, and we did Fam tours for those who have never had the chance (or bad luck) to go for a trip in a 2 1/2. The smile could not be wiped off with a fire axe!
God...
I can't post photos yet as a new member, but she is on the photo gallery of legion118.com I'll post more when I can, but we just got her. LT Leschert, CF Retired/ Retreaded...... whatever!
Some trucks are just too sweet to finish their life hauling firewood. This old girl came to us fully restored, and with Vintage plates. She will be used only in parades, and to support our local Legion (legion118.com) and cadet corps.
The old girl, as tough and sweet as she is now has a good...
