After Action Report - Mission accomplished
For the after action report, we had an M35, M54, and a Ural w/sidecar for the event. The weather was nice, we got in a good breakfast before the parade, and there were no casualties as a result of our participation in this parade. Overall a good day.
We would have to defer to Aaron on this, but the basic rule is no shooting at the event. Weapons that go with a particular vehicle or display would be okay. No live ammo in display areas. this would include the display that we intend to do in town. Aaron's place is in a rural but fairly...
Mike, that looks like a great safety addition. A small piece of ballistic material to make a back rest and additional protection for the gunner would look great up there.
I talked with Aaron on Saturday at the Egg Day parade in Winlock. He was explaining what the Napavine Fun Festival people would like from us this year. His idea was that part of us would go in the parade and part of us would set up a display area there in town. We need to get with them and...
Probably the latest I should leave Centralia is 0845. It will take me about 45 min. to get to Larry's in my speed demon M54.
I was not going to uniform up for this one. If we can leave earlier, they have a community breakfast down there that we could hit before the parade. Give a call later. P
If you would like to come down, that would be great. Give me a call Friday afternoon or evening for final planning on time.
Winlock is Exit 63 on I-5. I want to take the 5T down and am thinking of leaving around 0830. I will be pushed for time after the parade as I have another display to do...
Felix, is your M38A1 a stocker, original, restored, or under restoration? I have enjoyed mine, but it has been neglected the last couple of years due to getting the 1942 running. If you are up to the run, come down for the 4th of July to Centralia. There is a thread under upcoming events...
Wanted to get this one bumped back up. We have been doing this event for about 12 to 14 years and it is always well received by the community. We usually get about 8 to 12 vehicles, but there is no limit. Just let me know so we can plan for food. Thank you, P.
Hello Team. If anyone would like to take part in the Egg Day parade, I put a registration in. Please chime in if you are coming so that I can work with the parade folks to leave us room. Lineup would be at 1000 and parade at 1100. This is a low key fun small community event. Chime in on...
Count me in. I will be doing a display for the USO the night of the 19th, but will be in and out of the event as possible. You might also count on me to work on the display portion of the event. What time will we be breaking down the display? Will their be provision for lunch for troops that...
Think July 20 for Napavine. We are still awaiting word from the boss.
July 13 will be Arlington and July 27 will be the National MVPA convention in Portland.
For those of you attending the MVPA convention and driving your vehicles down for a day or two. There will be designated MV parking...
This is the last one for this group. Thank you for your patience. This was the 25th year of Armed Forces Day there at Ft. Lewis. It was a bit soggy in the morning but worth it. I thought the incident command vehicle should be in there as it is military and most of us seem to operate with green...
Scott, you are right, it was me. Went up and added some historical color to a USO fundraiser yesterday. It was fun and all the donuts you could eat. Hope to get a few more pictures up later this evening.
