    Mystery military trailer

Like mentioned I've got one just like it. Mine is a little more militarized and has milspec taillights. I've read that silver eagle built 15 trailers for testing, I guess that makes 4 still around. They're kinda goofy but I like the look of it behind a HMMWV. I like the side racks and bows...

UH-1H Huey vehicle dismantlement and extraction

Saw that on another forum. Bet that wasn't a cheap recovery.

    MTA 2018 OFFICAL SHOW THREAD , Info /buy/Sell/trade/Talk /All :)

I'm planning on being there Friday and Saturday. I'm looking for some Gama Goat parts including a complete winch kit or parts, rear cargo cover, and the pins to connect the tractor to the back half. I can bring most of the stuff I have listed in the classifieds. I'm parting out a complete...

My Green Disease has manifested itself!!

It's possible the data plate, glove box door, or cab were swapped at some point. Like dozer said the number should be on the left side of the frame. Your tag looks to be original and lightly stamped b1 after m37 which is right for a 1962 m37b1. The full length fording support on the bedside...

My Green Disease has manifested itself!!

Nice truck! How sure of the year are you? It looks to have a lot of early features like the bed, lack of spare tire on the door, and big instrument cluster lights.

    New Build

The link above has been working off and on. If it doesn't work for you here's the table of known boats listed under that contract. FY68 Contract for 104 36-ft. Landing Craft, Personnel (Large), 36PL-681 to 68104 959227 36PL-6819...

    New Build

I'll be watching this thread. I think my boat restoration will be much further down the line if I even keep it. This website has listing of boats with similar hull numbers, listed as being built by Marinette Marine. If you have something saying yours was built by Uniflite I'd be interested in...

    New Build

Cool boat! I put the thread for my 36' LCVP in the member's rides section as there really isn't a good forum for boat info. I believe the number on the back means the following 36 is the length in feet PL is because it's a Landing Craft Personnel Large 68 is the contract year 96 is the boat...

    Blackout Lights

There are running and brake lights on the back in addition to the ground.

    M101 Dimensions

Yes, all 4 cargo variants of the m101 can use the same cover. EDIT: Wait, m102a2? Post a picture. Never heard of it.

M35 insulator mounting for all M series headlights.

Even some of the a2 series have these old style headlight insulators. My 1966 m275a2 had them while my 1967 m35a2 had the newer style. I'll need to pick up a set of 12 insulators so if the ones you got from White Owl look good I'll probably give them a try. I haven't found an alternative yet...

1969 LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel)

Yeah the boat kind of stands out in a yard of green vehicles, the fact that it's beached in one spot doesn't help either. Still, I couldn't pass it up for the price. Since I sold the bridge truck I'm basically in the boat and step deck for the cost of moving them. Maybe one day I'll have the...

    ID that trailer

:ditto: You got a pretty good deal on it.
  14. Evil Dr. Porkchop

    What trailer is this? Generator?

It doesn't appear to be made from either the 3/4 ton m101 series, or from a 1/4 ton like the m416 or m762. I guess if an m101a2 and an m762 were combined it'd look kind of like that.
  15. Evil Dr. Porkchop

    What Snatch block is this?

According to my m756 notes the NSN for that block is 3940-00-151-6769. It's used with the rear winch on the truck which is the same winch found on the front of 5 ton trucks, rated at 20,000lbs. However unlike the 5 tons the pipeline trucks use 1/2" cable instead of 5/8". I'd say they're good...

    What Snatch block is this?

Looks like the ones used on the m756a2 pipeline truck.

1969 LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel)

Since I bought the LCVP I've been trying to find out how it ended up in VT. The previous owner had passed away about 2 years ago and his son didn't know where it came from, it just showed up in their yard in the mid to late 1990s. The yard that I work out of has been a military surplus yard...

scored a water buffalo at a city auction

Nice. Looks like the older m107a2 trailer with the newer stainless m149a2 tank.

    Is there a "B" Turbo?

There's also the larger turbo that showed up before the "c" or "d" turbos. My 1973 or 74 had one, I'm guessing it was used on the factory turbo trucks before the others were upgraded. It has a large dataplate on it so it's easy to identify. Since as far as I know "c" and "d" are made up names...

Deuce Hard Tops: M35A2 = M211 or not?

I'll be at the NJ show. The actual days of the show are April 21 and 22. Here's the link to the info thread. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?176026-MTA-2018-OFFICAL-SHOW-THREAD-Info-buy-Sell-trade-Talk-All-)
