There seems to be enough flex in the 'dome' which is just riveted to the windshield frame & rear box. I have never had a windshield crack in any of mine, now chunks of rust falling in my coffee cup? Well that's another story...
This was no easy task for me & my antique PC but here it is, only the red text are the proposed changes as submitted, green is my add on to note the only changed word, the rest is already what it is. which can be found here: http://www.legislature.mi.gov/documents/mcl/pdf/mcl-act-300-of-1949.pdf...
The proposed amendment has NO EFFECT on regularly registered vehicles.
The amendment is primarily in regards to historic plated vehicles.
It does add "including Surplus Military vehicles," behind the words ". Every motor vehicle," in section 257.216 which should allow regular registration of...
Well the Chevy CUCV wheels I have that the ID measures 4.75 do not fit on the rear of my M880's, Where as my spare M880 wheel center is just over 4-13/16, and the Ford rims I took from an F250 don't have much clearance on the M884 I have them on. I suppose I could grab a bore gauge & some mics &...
Need to find a used steering box from a 4x4 Ramcharger, W100, W200 W300 or W400. There is also a way to hack a pitman arm from a manual box onto the PS box but I wouldn't recommend going that route.
Typical GM steel wheel has a 4-3/4" center hole where the rear D60 on the Dodge requires a 4-7/8" hole.
I have standard F-250 Ford 16" x 6" wheels on one of mine.
I do not see where having the OPTION to register as historic has any effect on regular registrations.
The bill from a few years back that allowed for the plate not to be displayed on any MV that was kept to look as it was in the military did not adversely affect registering them with regular or...

I believe the study of roll over incidents is related to up-armored gun turret humvees, and Michigan's issue is from the DOD notice regarding the 2015 release of M998's with ORV designations on the SF97
From what I know this is being worked on diligently / driven by members of MIMVCC & GLMVPA that do not all own Humvees, but do own a wide range of MV's. There is no intent or desire to infringe upon current rules & regs that we currently have to follow. If the Secretary of State office is able...
found a 1959 Curtis-Wright , water tanker with the original gasser, runs & drives.
It's up for sealed bid in an out of the way area.
I must be nuts, figured it to be a run of the mill deuce but when I seen it was an old gasser it made me want it more.
Probably won't be high bidder but...
