Once again, it's time to start packing and I am not ready. I hope to leave out Thursday morning and arrive at the rally after lunch. I was wondering if anyone will have a welder on site? I was planning to bring my Hobart gas welder, but I just don't feel like taking the axle off and loading...
Hey Everybody,
I have several things I would like to give someone else the chance to own. I just listed a 53 Reo M35A2 ($4000) in the classifieds if anyone attending would like to have a new truck to drive while there. I am also going to post a add later for a M818 with winch ($6000). For...
Where did the time go. Almost time for the rally. Just reserved a cabin. The dodge was just too tight for me and Logan last year. Not sure what I will drive. Logan has said we are not driving anything loud or uncomfortable. That narrows it down.
Bottom line, if you have the money, get it. These are getting hard to find and if you want to get one some day, this is a good parts vehicle if nothing else. If you do not have the money to tie up in it, pass it by. Good points about the frame and other things. A $1500 half track is...
Holy cow, I was up until 1:00 last night packing. Why do I take so much stuff. I hope to leave here around lunch and get there by 4:00 PM. Driving a Dodge with a hideous trailer in tow. :cookoo:
Somebody has the fever. No amount of fun could get me there quicker. It will take every minute I have from now until lunch time thursday to get my work done and packed. I will start getting ready for next year, NEXT week. See you guys in two days.
Attention all interested people.
I have space B7 reserved (I think) which is a 30 amp spot. I think it might be next to the kitchen stuff. I plan to bring a old kitchen tent which I would like to set up. I have also made up a cord that will plug into a 50 amp pole and it has 2 - 20 amp 110 volt...
Well no one has an excuse not to have a truck to drive. My father-in-law just called me and he wants to sell the M35A2 I "gave" him a year ago. It's really nice and rally ready. Of course it would have to be bought.
My M813 will be sitting this one out. I will be in my M886 instead. Too little...
Well I changed the oil in my M813 this past weekend and something is not right. I installed one of the spin on filter adapters from fleetgard. I put 5 gallons in the engine and ran it a minute. I figured I would need to add a least another gallon but it is at the top of the "H" mark. The book...
I just checked my gas welder and the gen. recepticle on it is the same at the RV plug. So I have everything I need. My electric welder has a standard 3 prong 50 amp plug. I have an adapter I made for it. I'll just have to convince someone near me to let me plug up.
Looking forward to the rally...
Hey its 11:00, don't you people have jobs?
Seriously, I did some research and it appears the 50 amp spots do have 230 power. I will need to make up a plug for my welder, but since I have a 30 service, who will let me plug up the welder at their 50? I am at b7. Anyway I will make up a plug that...
OK, a couple of things.
First off, I will bring a bunch of 4" sewer pipe and several "y"s. I can join all this together and the kitchen stuff can be dropped into the line and run out in the woods. We can set a real wash station above it too and have a place for anybody to wash up with real...
OK, I have a few things I need to share.
First off, I usually plan big and deliver small. I hope to chance that one day before I die. But for now I am suffering from the three "B"s of the small business owner. They are: Broke, busy and behind. All three at once too. So I have had to cut back...
I will bring my projector and the old films. It is also a nice PA system and that might be useful to some of you all. I will have to get a new microphone. Mine has dissapeared. I could use my daughters "barbie" mic. It's pink. The projector is also military surplus, how nice.
If anyone has a...
A report on the new showers would be nice, like DH said. Also could you take a voltage tester and confirm if there is actually 230 volts at each of the new spots in our area. I called about that today and I was told they are all 230 volts, and I just have my douts. If they are RV plug ups...
I'm sorry but I am not a "t-shirt" guy (man boobs problem) but when I think of "dark" colored shirts (I work out side in sunny SC too) I think of these two. I personally like OD in any rally or MV event shirt. Even so I approve of anything I don't have to do the leg work for.
I have some wagon wheels for my M886 that are wide enough for hummer tires. I picked them up and I don't really need them. I posted a couple of pictures on this thread:

I have 5 wheels and one is burned on...
All this talk of "operators" inspired me to finally post a video to youtube. It's a video of me loading concrete on my first bobbed deuce. I miss that truck. If you have nothing better to do, watch it. It's 10 minutes of your life you will not get back.
This is the truck I drove to the first...
I just changed my "rv spot" to B7 in the new area. If we get a layout of the area at some point I would like to see the spots. Depending on how the area is laid out I may want to change spots again so my lights and so forth can be set up next to my spot to prevent drop cords from running across...
