Deuce weight and a lttle good news.

What size tires do you have? I have 11.00 michelins and they weigh 248lbs each with the rim. I have mine dualed in the back. The stock 9.00 weighed 144lbs. I am going to get my bobbed truck weighed and inspected as soon as I get a leaking rear main and a rear leaking wheel cylinder fixed...

    Speedometer recalibration?

Actually, I am currently running 11.00x20 and that is the size that I need to calibrate for. Does anyone know where i can get the part/parts needed? I suppose being that the stock 9.00 are 39", and the 11.00 are 43" so when my speedometer reads 50mph, I am really going 55mph. It would still...

    Finally got a Deuce!!!

I was under the impression that the mileage is kept for the truck, and the hours is kept for the motor untill either one is rebuilt. However, if either the tach or the odometer quit working, they will be replaced as well. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Real nice truck!

    m35a2 air warning buzzer

You could always add an air stem and pre-charge your tanks if you have an air compressor at home. Would also save some wear and tear on your truck's compressor along with it being dryer air.

    Deuce v. 5-ton for a bob-job

For those of you that have registered your bobbed deuces, what are you stating for the GVW? Are you even mentioning that an axle has been removed? Seems that might raise some flags at the DMV, like is it still safe to drive?

1100x20 PIC needed on bobbed 2.5T

For those of you that are running these, what pressure are you using? The bobbed deuce already feels more 'springy' than stock. I will run duals in the back just like 'dirtyfingernails'. I may expirement later with flipping the hubs and running single 1100x20 to see what it does to the trucks...

    Legal bumper height?

Here is the problem; "It is unlawful to operate upon any highway of this State any vehicle with a front bumper height that exceeds 28 inches or a rear bumper height that exceeds 30 inches, regardless of the GVWR of the vehicle, except those vehicles covered by Chapter 18b of this Code. For any...

1100x20 PIC needed on bobbed 2.5T

Looks like stock rims to me. You can safely mount 1100x20's on a stock rim. The flaps should also be able to be reused. You just need some 1000x20 or 1100 radial tubes. Thanks for the PICs and info, and they are really nice looking trucks. I think this is the rout I am going to take.

1100x20 PIC needed on bobbed 2.5T

Does anyone have a bobbed deuce with 1100x20 Michelins on it? If so can someone post a PIC (front, rear, side). How do they ride? I am thinking of ordering a set and a visual would be very helpful. I don't want to go any larger for legal issues. Thank you in advance.

    Legal bumper height?

Let me try to clear this up. I have an lawyer looking at this. Antique tags work as does any other tag for 13500lbs. And the weight falls under the need for a CDL. The problem is, that a stock deuce does not meet the frame to floor height; or the front and rear bumber heights for IL. and many...

    Legal bumper height?

Well, I talked with the Secretary of State Police in length today. Long story short, in IL a stock deuce IS illegal to drive IF you do not have a CDL, AND the truck does not have commercial tags with an annual inspection (section 18b). The only other option is if it is owned and driven the...

    Legal bumper height?

I measured 32 inches on the front bumper of my stock deuce (9.00x20). IL and many other state's vehicle codes read: "It is unlawful to operate upon any highway of this State any vehicle with a front bumper height that exceeds 28 inches or a rear bumper height that exceeds 30 inches, regardless...
