I have a spare M886 gas heater.
They came stock with the 20 gal tank just like the M880's
My old M886, got 9 mpg.
Bad exhaust manifold design, they typically blow the gasket under the center ports on the pass side.
May have a couple usable lenses, refer to pic in the "litter post". Those are...
I have had people looking for the uppers when they didn't realize that they already had them in the down position. So I wanted to get that pic out there, in case.
I emailed the # of someone that may have one.
As a reply to a PM inquiring about finding upper litter racks.
They are very hard to find, one from a M1010 may work, haven't tried it.
Here is a view with the drivers side upper rack in position, and the passerger side upper rack in the lower stored position.
FYI I have a pair of NOS M886 rear...

The plate laws refer to curb weight as manufactured.
per Ford Motor Co a 2013 F350 4x4 4dr Superduty has a curb weight of 7971lbs.
What you add to it after is irrelevant as far as curb weight goes and the state's rule on trucks over 8000 curb or base weight.
my Deuce is hibernating 'til...
Isn't that going to put you over the "passenger car" capacity and into a bus or van catagory with that 15 passenger threshold??
The log Farm plate is about $100 for a 13k truck. Cheaper than the $125 normal plate
Test driving, cruising etc. are allowed
Very clear, bumpers are not an issue when gvw is over 10,001 lbs
Windshield washers are not required on a vehicle that was manufactured without them.
Meeting location secured! Thanks to DaveP!

AOD Motorpool MVPA
Annual membership meeting.
Good time to meet everyone and join up
Not a bad time to renew either......
A little misinformation has been posted.
an F350 does not weigh 13,900#
any truck with a base weight over 8,000 falls into the GVW plate catagory
The number of axles is irrelevant.
The Secretary of State office choose "pickup" as the body style of one of my deuces.
Although, officially if a...
Lanty is correct, the M880 series were 76 & 77 model years only. An M880 would have M880 & 1 1/4 ton in the NOMENCLATURE line of the data tag.
Yours is a 79 W200 that was Govt issue.
Basically 3 types of registrations to chose from for a Deuce in Michigan:
Histoiric/Authentic - definately cheap, has the most restrictions.
Log Farm plate - not cheap, distance restriction.
GVW plate - they start at 24,000lb and around $500 and go up from there based upon elected weight. The...
Define the wobble.
Is it felt in the steering wheel only? - Normal with a U-joint front axle in a sharp turn.
or is it the whole truck? - bent or loose wheel, broken belt in tire, on the right front maybe???
Thanks Lane, I missed that one. There is a thread on here somewhere about that firewall connection, complete with pics and all. Unfortunately I have zero search luck here.
Interesting mix of parts.............
the M880's had a reverse rotation steering box (all W series pickups through 1977)
a D300 as well as the 78 & up W series have a standard rotation boxes.
