Lanty is correct, the M880 series were 76 & 77 model years only. An M880 would have M880 & 1 1/4 ton in the NOMENCLATURE line of the data tag. Yours is a 79 W200 that was Govt issue.

Interesting mix of parts............. the M880's had a reverse rotation steering box (all W series pickups through 1977) a D300 as well as the 78 & up W series have a standard rotation boxes.
