Re: RE: Re: RE: Who made M35A2
Heck no! This truck is too nice. It may only have 7000 miles on it. I don't know if that is good or not though. 7000 miles in 20 years is a lot of sitting. I'll probably sell it. I don't need it, I just want it. I just couldn't let it be given away, unless...
I have picked up a new truck from GL and it appears to be a 1986 model. Anybody know who had the contract to produce them that year? It doesn't have any manufacturers info on the data plate. I need this to try and get a title.
Also this truck has a customs paper in the windshield that says...
RE: Re: RE: Fuel milage w 465-1d M35A2 W/W
My Bobbed deuce got around 10 MPG on the road trip to the Georgia rally last year with 14.5's all around. That was wide open too. A little over 60 every time I had open road.
My 04' F-350 with the 6.0 gets, well I don't know. It's not bad but the...
RE: Bringing home the Duece
Where are you located in SC? You can get some blem 6TL's in Columbia real cheap. PM if need to know about the batteries. The big things are air in the tires (take some hoses and a few adapters, the truck has air), coolant, oil, GL1 (available in Home Depot...
I have in the past had at least one guy store a few trucks on our property. I don't mind doing things like that but it would be a "check with me before you plan on it" deal. I have also picked up a few things for other guys including one M35. If I have the time I don't mind doing anything but...
RE: Re: RE: Anybody get any trucks in the sale today
Well, under the circumstances I am not counting this truck mine until it is sittiing in the yard
Maybe someone can explain something to me. I noticed yesterday that 3 of the 4 trucks that sold at Ft Jackson a few months back where up for sale again today. They all went for a little over $2000 last time. They all went for $1410 to $1690 I think today. Why did they not get picked up last...
You guys are crazy  Here's the hitch I made a few months back to tow the M105 with the CBC in it. Worked great and I didn't worry about anything. Don't forget a light bar. You'll notice I made the height adjustable.
If you can find a CBC I think that would be the ticket. I loaded mine in the back of my truck by myself the other day. It's that light. Of course I lifted the dump and had it standing on the end. The whole thing weighs a little over 400 pounds and has a floor in it. I don't know how many are out...
My wife has been wanting to go to England one day, and I finally agreed. The week of July 16 to 20 or so. Just wondering if any of you guys ever go to the War and Peace show? I will be going if I have the money but that is true of most things in life any more. For those that don't know...
One thing you guys may not have covered is the fact that with the axle in the back spot, you will put a lot more weight on the front end when you load the truck, and that will effect how it drives a lot. It may over load the front end.
It is the "new" cover for the M105. I don't know the exact height but it is not a stand up deal. I have the TM for it, can I post it on the site or is it copyright protected? It cost me money and I am sure the people I bought if from would think it's protected, but how does that work with a...
Hey I just had a thought. Would any of you guys be interested in a custom made bed for the bobbed deuce that would be the same width as the front fenders, 9' long and would accept all the M105 stuff, but be a flat bed like the stock M35. That is close to what I have but I made mine a little...
This CBC is designed for the M105 so you guys with the 105 beds on the back can use it. I think it is the perfect "camper".
As for bed length, I could have put a 9 foot bed on my truck it would be a little move over hang and for a dump that would be good. If you look you will find most cargo...
Get a drop side bed and put the ball down as low as possible and you will avoid most the trouble. It's just a matter of having enough clearance over the bed. I was going to put a ball under my bob deuce but the dump hoist is in the way. That was the main reason I made the sides of my bed...
My biggest regret making this truck was not making the bed 9'. It's about 6" shorter than a M105 and I had planned to remove the tailgate when this was in so I could see the tail lights, but I think I am going to put a set in the CBC and have a plug for them. The tail gate it too handy down...
I placed my CBC I picked up a few weeks ago in the back of my truck today. Took a few pictures. I plan to use it tomorrow to help someone move. More to follow.
Welcome to steelsoldiers. You will find more opinions here than you will care to read. Let me be the first.
Yes. Yes. Yes. There will be those that say no and they may have great reasons, but I can think of no reason not to. You may be able to squeak by legally but why take the chance...
