How fast do you drive your Deuce?

I guess I'm always in a hurry. I always run the truck at 2400 on 2500 on the interstate. Gps says it's 61 mph. A guy flagged me over on the way back from the Georgia rally and wanted to know what I did to get it to go so fast. Of course it's only 11,000 pounds with the 4 wheel set up. The...

    M 105 Axle Swap

Here's one I did last summer. It's not much material and much lighter. This is a M101 and I haven't taken any pictures of the M105 I have like this. The best part is you can always put the frame back under the M105 if you ever buy a deuce. This trailer is not complete because I have been...

    M 105 Axle Swap

You will be happier if you just build a new frame. I have done that a few times and it's not too much work or money. I have pictures somewhere I can round up if you would like.

Thinking about ripping apart my M35A2 for a M275A2

You might even consider "Bobbin" you truck and putting a flat bed on the back and doing the goose neck trailer thing. I like my "Bob D. Deuce" and it turns and drives easier than the regular M35. Don't get me wrong I do miss the old M35A2 from time to time. I pull a goose neck trailer...

Anyone have any Idea what this is for?

Old style mirrors. The ones that have two little pipes that go out to the small round mirror. (At least that is what I have seen on these.)

    Alternate spare tire stowage/mount suggestions?

I have pondered this for a few days and have a suggestion. Perhaps a bad one, but here goes. Move your fuel tank forward in place of the battery box. Move the battery box to the drivers side in place of the tool box. Move the generator to the old fuel tank spot. Put spare back in the...

Non military 10 ton trailers for sale

I hope I don't rub anybody the wrong way, but I know of two trailers for sale that would make great booty haulers. They are going to an equipment auction on tuesday so I didn't figure it was worth putting them in the classified. If anyone is interested PM me about them and I will put you in...

    Tire chains?

I have lots of those dual tire chains. That's what Cabell has it his house. I wish there was some good way to get them up your way. They are the ticket for dual tires.

    4x4ing the deuce?

I put the fixed holder at the front just like the front axle. I think everything I have ever seen has the shackle at the back of the vehicle. I don't know if there is a reason for that or not but I suspect forward motion is better that way.

    Safety Rims on M35A2

Has anybody ever put 22.5 wheels with tubeless radials on their trucks. I never tried it because I liked the look of NDCC's on the 6x6. I have one rim I have been intending to mount a tire on just to see how it looks on the truck. Of course it would have to be something with a mean tread...

Picked up my M105 with the CBC

Yea, that's the cool part. I wanted something to put in the back of my BOB that would be in theory water tight because the bed I made for it will let water seep between the sides and the bottom. This unit should sit in the back with a few inches hanging out the rear and keep me and all my...

Picked up my M105 with the CBC

I had considered painting an old cab cover with fiberglass rosin for a "hard" top once. I'm glad I didn't follow through with that one.

    4x4ing the deuce?

RE: Re: RE: 4x4ing the duece? I put about 500 miles on my truck for the NC rally and I was very pleased with the ride. I have the front type spring holders on the rear. It cruised at about 61 MPH with the XL 14.5 radials. It drives a lot like my 86 ford. Takes effort to keep it strait...

Picked up my M105 with the CBC

Well, here's a few pictures of the CBC. I like it.

Picked up my M105 with the CBC

I paid $429 for the whole thing I think. About $80 in fuel too (we hate to count that don't we). I'll get some more pictures soon. The entire door area was cracked up and moved around a lot. A few zip screws and a quart of fiberglass resin and it is nice and solid. It has lots of damage and...

Picked up my M105 with the CBC

I picked up my latest purchase last week from Ft. Bragg. The CBC is made of fiberglass, not plastic, which is easier to repair. I made a hitch that I think worked great. You guys decide.

Running Waste Engine oil in the winter

Hold on a second, are you guys saying you actually do run some used motor oil in your multifuels? I was just wondering yesterday if there was a easy way to use old motor oil in a vehicle to get rid of the stuff. I am sure it would have to be very clean right? Please share you experiences.

    M35 to M34(hub flip, single 11-20's)

I took my GPS unit out a few weeks ago and at 2500 rpm's I was going around 61 mph with 14.5 by 20 XLs on my truck.

2008 Florida Steel Soldiers Rally Feb 21-24th

What a bummer. The international home builders show is the weekend before right around the corner and I will probably have a booth at it. I probably can't miss two weeks of work in a row. We'll have to wait and see.

    1400 R 20 Michelins

RE: Re: RE: 1400 R 20 Michelins The guys in Alma Georgia should have lots of tires cheap but they are not set up to sell them too well. I think they will ship them but I would hesitate to buy anything you don't look at. They where getting $100 for new and $50 for almost new. I can't remember...
