OK, I have now taken an hour and read almost all of this thread. I have some questions.
First off, where did the designation HMV come from? I have been reading SC state law on these matters and I know your state laws must be different because prior ownership just doesn't come to mind when I...
RE: Re: RE: Thinking About Getting a Deuce. Couple question
I put my jeep wrangler in the back of my first deuce for the trip home. I never plan to do that again, but only because it is hard to load and unload. I loaded it with a loading dock at CMS and unloaded it with a big pile of dirt...
RE: last
I found it odd that there is so little grass and so much red clay in the photo's. Most of that stuff looks like it has been sitting there for only a short time. Or maybe I'm used to going to SECO and looking for snakes in all the grass and briers.
So did any of you guys get the 5 trucks that sold at Ft. Jackson. I really wanted two of these but didn't need them bad enough. They where really nice looking trucks, but with a new paint job everything looks great. I think the M35's went for around $2100 to $2400 plus the 17 percent the...
Ok, which one of you dogs bought my truck? For what it's worth lot 2716 and 2714 would crank and run with the batteries in them. My father in law wanted one of these so who every beat me out of them has made him sad and my mother in law very happy

I don't think your tire thing will work out. You need 10" or 11" rims for those tires. You can buy one piece rims from OD iron. I made rims but if I could have bought the one piece rims I would have. There have been lots of threads on Bob the deuce in the modified deuce section. Check them...
You're a brave man Cabell. And you have too much time on your hands. I think Blythewood would be out of your way but if it isn't you should come by and see if you need any junk from my yard
By the way, I don't need those tires any more. I did the official southern cracker thing, I put...
Check these threads out for starters.

This looks like a good time to bring up the HMMWV alternator's that myself and others have installed on there multifuel deuces. All the 12 volts you can stand for inverters of all sizes. It's not for everyone but if you have a deuce it's a reasonable option if you plan to use a bunch of 12...
RE: Re: RE: deuce frame attachment
What's a BF drill? I have drilled lots of frame but never used anything but a standard 1/2" drill motor and my big old butt.
If any of you guys are serious about making a difference you must realize you will have to spend less time doing the things you want to do and more time kissing political booty. I have known the head of the republican party for my state all my life. I have been meaning to spend some time...
Set you truck up with a 5th wheel and get a real trailer with air brakes. Of course you can find 5 ton trucks cheap enough now to justify getting one. I have a fixable old air force Ford F600 road tractor that would make a great truck for such a purpose.
I would like to know where the piece of paper came from. I find it hard to believe in a day when the "government" is wanting us to get all the use we can out of stuff to save the planet that common sense has alluded so many people. The sad part is, that metal is probably going to China. This...
Now that I think about it the only thing that was a pain for me was the steering column. I removed the steering wheel and lifted the cab up and back. I couldn't get the steering box stuff loose. Of course I had no bed on the truck so the rearward movement was possible.
Well I finally have a few minutes to right a little bit. My experience on this trip is a curious one. I had a miserable time during a lot of the trip because I was unprepared for the whole experience. I have learned my lesson on this one.
I was in a hurry far too much of the time. Busted my...
Napa part number 21470 for the muffler. Manstein, do you have all the stuff to put a turbo on the truck except the turbo?
I will try to put a picture of my muffler installation on here later if anyone wants to see it. The muffler cost me almost $90 after freight and tax. I am planning on...
I don't have the number in front of me but I found it on the forum after searching for M35 mufflers. It's a strait through 3.5 inch unit that is about 3 feet long. I actually mounted mine in the riser above the fender. I figured it's my truck and if I wanted to cut it up that was my business...
