    1959 m43 b1

Just going off of my personal military experience and my love for commo I think you have a telephone relay (switch). Basically a mobile version of your local Ma Bell telephone building. It may have also had some radios as a way of re-transmitting the phone signals but I couldn't tell you and...

    HMMWV impounded

@63foxtrot Sorry to hear that this happened. Yes it could be even worse nightmare for someone else who may not be as known as you seem to be. That person may be sitting in lockup as well. Keep us posted on what happens and what hoops you have to jump through to get your truck back. Good luck!

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

Because of the different voltages needed for the tubes most of the radios would have been 110V AC and have built into them the needed voltage conversions/drops to make them work. Since the truck's wiring harness is fried and you are going to have it made or make one on your own I'd say go for...

    Electrical Problem?

You need three things to make a gas motor go. Air, Fuel, and spark. Have checked to see if you are getting those three things? You may be chasing a electrical issue when it's a fuel issue. Before you spend more money on electrical components make sure that the electric is the problem. It...

I've never had to compress the springs to put them in. If I did i just had someone lean on the fender a little and done.

    New member to my family!

Nice truck. You got some work cut out for you but you should be able to get it back in working order. I love the headlight mod someone did. Gives it a different look than on the fender where they are suppose to be. Keep posting picks!

Hmmwv hauling a MKT field Kitchen.

I use to haul an MKT with a 1993 Ford F-250 and that pushed the truck a little bit. I would think the lightness of the HMMWV might be to much for the MKT. Remember the MKT was designed to be pulled behind a M35a2.

Is this the wrong starter or Bendix?

I'm going from memory here, but it looks like the right one to me. Does it not engage when you try to start the it? Is it causing any other issues besides making noise when turning the motor by hand?
