    M416 - Cover Option

That's the exact shape I was talking about except you use a 2x6 and and you notch the bottom to fit over the walls like that is sitting. And that's right from PS Mag. :D

    M416 - Cover Option

Looks good to me and the price is right. For a tarp bow, PS Magazine told the GIs to use a 2x6 board the length of the trailer bed. Cut the top of the ends off on an angle 45 degrees or less and notch the bottom of the ends to sit on the front and back walls. This makes an effective bow that...

Pitmaster T - Cooking on the MKT

I'm wondering about the burners for your MKT? Are those GI? I'm from the days of the gas powered big Coleman stove type of burners and I've not seen ones with push buttons before. I wonder if you could replace the aluminum griddle with a steel one since that is what you are more comfortable...

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

Besides the cost of membership being well expensive to say the least and all the parts being made of OD covered gold I decided to stay away from the convention this year. Glad you found some things you need. I was going to post some smarty-pants thing while you were gone, but decided it would...

Nice Truck Rescued From The Scrapper And Some Body IS IN Big Trouble !

At first I thought it was a contact maintenance truck but a quick web search clued me in that it wasn't. The bed isn't correct for the M880 series contact maintenance vehicles. Like Doghead said it was probably just a government contract truck. Might have been used for the Navy since it was...

    m998 steering wheel

I know that they are different in size due to the fact that a M998 has power steering and M151 does not. Therefore the M151 wheel is bigger than the M998. I can't tell you if the size and spline count is the same or different but I'd guess it would be different.

    M 151 Input Needed

The engine cutting out may be a problem with the points or the coil in the distributor. I had mine due that after winter storage a many years ago. I think it was the coil that was causing the problem. The other problem may be in the brakes. They may have locked up. When ever you take a MUTT...

Nice radio you picked up. Keep your eye out for an EE8 field phone in a leather case. Even if the case is in poor condition let me know I own a leather shop where we do repair and restoration. Also look for a brass morse code key and one of them lolly pop microphones. Maybe even a field phone...

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

I would think you could go with a standard WWII tail light housing from a Jeep or WC etc and put those in for a lot less money than what Tinwoodsman posted. It may not be 100% historically accurate, but who's to say they didn't replace the housing during the war? Right? Just my thought on the...

Did you all find the hood number on the truck? I'm just wondering. You might have heard the jingle 'call the glass doctor he'll fix your panes.' Well it's more like call the commander he'll fix the (trucks) panes. ...
