Thanks Armada, it was the last vehicle on my wish list, well kinda, it shows a little over 10k miles and I think that may be original, the truck shows very little ware, so it has done some sitting since 1970! I was just glad to get a 5 ton cargo, Memphis Equipment had beaten me out on the last...
Guys, thanks for all the help, I made to my brothers house with no problems at all, Westech wins the prize! I pulled the fuel line between the IP and the filter bowl ran to Napa and $47.50 later the problem was solved! Even though the first time I filled the bowl with diesel and tried to run...
No lift pump, just the IP. I didn't look at that side of the system since is was pulling the fuel out of the bowl so well. I will check it in the morning, after the three hour drive there! I hope it is that easy, I am still taking the boat tank as a backup!
Down in Mount Olive,Ms my 813 is sitting outside the wire DOA. Got there 8:30am this morning, pulled all pms on the truck, replaced the missing oil pressure sensor. Fueled her up, turned the switch , third roll of the engine sprang to life like it had been sitting for two days instead of two...
I asked the GSA guy in Mississippi what was up with the deuce troop seats and assorted stuff in the back of the 813 I won, he said he thought one of us could use it and he doesn't have to fill up his only dumpster with it.
That was my first idea but I don't know what is under the dash, I should have checked when I was there but there were six possible auction wins and limited time to look, and it's eight hour drive from home! Is there a cheap option, one I can screw into the block or something I can improvise in...
My oil pressure gage is missing on a M813A1 I have to pickup from GSA, I can only do minimal maint. before moving the truck, I don't know if the gage is just missing or if the wiring is still there. What are my alternatives (quick and easy) I am not running it without a oil pressure gage of...
I have his number, but the guy who I talked to wished me luck dealing with him, and that I would need it to do any good, so I think you have him pegged.
Driving back from my inspection visit to Mt.Olive in Mississippi I took the following photos of what a farmer had in his back 40ty. The flat head V8 is in a '46 Ford 1 Ton.
Wrong winch for the M37, it looks like a Braden or Tulsa winch. You need a LU4 you may be able to make it work but with the right extension the LU4 is a easy add.
They have plenty of lift trucks but I didn't see a dock, most of their transports trailers were lowboys. They had two really nice contact maint trucks that went for under $1500 from what I remember.
Do they use generic dashes for these trucks, I don't remember seeing this hole on the other two 813s there, i will have to check my photos. The deuces there were in great shape and most of them sold for under $1300!
I have a couple of those lights for my M543, I also have a couple of these, anyone familiar with the receptical these would use? A light hookup would be a help.
James
I just won an M813A1 over in Mississippi from GSA and of course with them they want it moved right now! Well I know the oil pressure gage is missing, I hope the wire hanging down is to the sensor? And I know one of the other holes near the bottom of the dash was for the windshield wipers, it...
