That tilt mechanism better be good and fricken strong if you are thinking of hooking it to a deuce steering box.

When I was shopping for a car hauler I was not well versed in trailer ratings.
I was looking at 7k & 10k trailers. I would ask about a 7,000lb capacity trailer.
When I bought mine I asked if he had a 7k capacity trailer w/bobtail, & how much.
So I own a 7000lb...

Oh and leave the pitman arm on the box, different spline from the manual.
If your manual box doesn't have alot of play in it, don't throw it away, someone will need it.

To use the 78 PS box, you will also need the steering column and the '78 drag link...
2500lbs is the tyical payload of a civi 3/4 ton truck. 2500 lbs equals 1 1/4 ton
The Dodge W200 was considered a 3/4 ton truck, the M880 was based on the W200
