Ya know what?! It's your freaking truck do what ever the freak you want to it! Bob it or don't bob it. Put a cummins in, put a 420 hemi V8 in. It's your truck and your money do as you wish! Tell the nay sayers to blow it out their backsides!:)
As for cleaning the engine compatment...
Well it should be straight forward pull the pin where the arm attaches to the body and remove the door. If someone changed the pin or it is crimped in some fashion the stop it from coming out you may need to cut the pin to remove it. With out eyes on your truck it's hard to say exactly what...
I wonder if they got the drawing and specs from AM General as part of a dialog to license the building of the HMMWV and then made the copy or did they reverse engineer it. In which case they might have gotten a civilian one (out right purchased) and reverse engineered it to make their truck...
I'd be interested in how loud that cummins is compaired to the original gm motor. I know that with the cummins you're going to be able to pull houses off their foundation...
Looks good and sounded good. You might give some thought to chainging the distributor to an electronic one also. A good hot spark will help the EFI work a little better.
Take the radiator off and flush it. Then flush the block as discribed above. Might try something like simple green or even dawn dish soup in the radiator to see if you can flush the crud out. Make sure the detirgent is all flushed out before you reattach everything and put fresh coolent in...
Some autoparts stores sell replacement LED bulbs that fit in the original socket. Get one of those for the back up light and you'll really be in business. Good install. I have also painted the housings with chrome paint which makes it really reflective.
Multicam is not a random pattern. It is a digital pattern in cloth. The bolts of cloth have a set pattern. What makes it seem random is how the clothing pattern is cut out and assembled into a blouse or trousers. Therefore the company that makes the pattern can have a copywrite or patent.

The wiring diagram can be found in the TM. If you don't have a copy you should get one. There are a couple different ones available. I don't have the numbers here in front of me, but I'm sure someone will jump on.
12V vrs 24v. That's up to you. By keeping it 24V you don't have to change...
Happy birthday! That's cool to find out information like that. This is the truck with the really neat camper in the back and the modern drive train correct? You must show more pictures of your build!
What the buyer is willing to pay and what the seller is willing to let it go for. I know that's not much of an answer, but it's the unfortunate truth. It also depends on what you mean by clean. As in rust free or do you mean no dents or both. Looks like it just rolled off the assembly line...
Rapco makes the rattle cans on site (unless Mark lied to me about it) so the paint you get in the rattle can is the same paint you buy in gallons. So the color is the same. I rattle can paineted a M151 a few years back and it looked great.
I was interested in how you were going to turn them on and off. Are you going to use a control box out of a HMMWV or set up a relay. Even in the heat of summer you will find you'll need to glow plugs to kick on and off even if just for a few seconds for the motor to start properly. I'm doing...
