You Mutt looks great! When I had a M151 I must have painted 6 times. From OD with stars, to flat forest green, back to OD with stars, to Flat OD black markings (ala Germany late 60's early 70s) to 4 color cammo. Glad to see you're getting your fleet in order.
Sounds like someone decided to tried to design a better mouse trap by putting the two caps in to replace the original device. Just get a new one (resister that is) and get your truck back on the road.
Slow and steady wins the race they say. If that's true I may be slower than you... :) You work looks fantastic! Great job putting that back to original.
I have the turbo manifold on my 6.2 right now and it's bumping the injectors. I'm just in the mock up stage of my project so right now it's not a big deal and I will be pulling the motor down and going through it in the not to distant future. When I go to rebuild I plan on putting new...
That's good to know. On my M37 project I'm going with LED front and rear lights and I was going to just pick up the stock mill flasher box and control arm. So now I know I need to add the LED in there to make them work. Thanks for the info!
You have new hoses right? How about a new thermostat? Since your going through all that changing any way might as well through a new one of those in too.
Where do you all tap the oil feed line for the turbo. All the pictures I've seen show the line going somewhere to the back of the motor, but I can't see exactly where it taps into. Any help on this would be great. Thanks
You could get the 100 amp gen and put it back to original and put a commo shelter in it with all the radios...or a telephone switch would be cool as I don't know of anyone who has one of those.
It's just a suggestion... :)
I have to say the paint job is great, but the color looks like you took a black and white photo. My personal thought is blah, but I know it's for a customer so if that is what they want and they are happy then that is all that matters. Keep up the good work!
Are you shure y ou got all the bolts? Sometimes there is a bolt missing. Pull the motor and trans as one unit. Don't try to pull as two pieces it will be easier to do it that way and then pull them apart outside of the truck
