I would check everything in the steering to make sure it's tight. Then I would check the tires for one that is out of round. Balancing the tires also helps. I had a wiggle at 45 mph on my old M211 and I had the front tires balanced and it smothed right out.
The truck that appears at the 2:08-2:19 mark looks as though it might have been converted to diesel. It has a M serries 5 ton type air cleaner on the fender.
My question is are these trucks physically bigger than the GMC CCKW?
Nice looking truck. It looks like they might have done a modification for military light switch on the dash? I like the seats....some tells me they are not stock... rofl
Hate to bring an old thread up, but I was wondering if anyone with the reverse rotation PS gear box could take some messurements of the pitman arm. Length, width, drop distance, hole sizes and spline count that would be very helpful. I am trying to locate a replacement one or maybe even a...
I don't feel bad for you or the trainnies or the truck. I feel bad for the guy who has to do all the PMCS on the truck because you got it so muddy and wet. If that's you then I feel sorry for you... :) Looks like you had some good training. You should have told the 1SG that it was the little...
I loved it! Espcially towards the end when they applied the star with such precission... No tapping it off with masking and getting the perfect stencil. Just hold the stencil up and shoot! There close enough!...
Paint mask...pththththt! If it don't have overspray it's not a GI stencil...
Truck is looking good there GF. Take your time and it will be rolling before you know it. As a small business man myself I know having the right tools for the job makes a big difference. Kep up the good work!
If I remember correctly you baught the truck with that paint scheam on it and you're plan is to make it correct so no chops bustin here. You have a great truck and it deserves the attention your giving it. WWII Chevy and GMCs did not have exhuast stacks on them. So the brackets are not for...
Was that a commercial (civy) truck that you fixed up or was it a mill truck that someone had civilianized? Looks good cept for those rims... I'm sure you'll be fixing that.... ;)
Keept he truck as the commo truck. I do believe you are the only one with that configuration and it's way cool. If you were going to do any upgrades to the truck I would upgrade the rims to at least 12 bolt ones and maybe think about doing a turbo 6.5 conversion to give it a little more power...
I drove to LI NY in 1996 to visit my wife who was my new love of my life back then. I live in Ohio where pickups are issued pass plates or at that time non-com plates if you didn't use the truck for comercial uses. When I got off the LIE (Lawnguyland Expressway) onto the "highways or...
I love the cammo on it lol!....is that contact paper or did someone actually put that much detail into painting it? Looks like a good fun rig to run around in.
