Any auto glass shop should be able to install the door glass and the tail gate glass. If it's an independent company (i.e. not safelite or PPG etc) they should be willing to sell you the glass less install for the DYI guys. The local Glass Doctor here in Cleveland will also sell used auto...
If you go to the Fresh Resto #4 M1009 thread the CUCV there has the antenna mount with pipe and flasher like I was discribing except the ones I remember were closer to the drivers door and of course had a blue light on them.
Going from memory here.....Military Police was accross the windshield with vinyl letters, Military Police on each side under the cap windows and on the tail gate. A blue strobe light was mounted on the roof or I remember seeing one of the antenna mounts mounted on the drivers side with a pipe...
I was going to say isn't that a spark plug to kind of help in cold weather. It doesn't heat the cylinder like the chevy CUCV/HMMWV glow plugs do, but helps to fire or burn the fuel so that the motor heats up faster and runs on it's own. Or at least that is how it was explained to me many moons...

You could make a field modification cover. Just because you don't have a picture of it doesn't mean some GI in the winter of 1944 didn't do it. If your looking for picture effidence I would look at all wwii dodges in winter settings and see if you can see any type of cover on the grill. Even...
It would have to be one out of a M37B1 and even then you need to double clutch... :) You'de have to convert to a modern transmission which would mean some fabricating to make it work. I don't have a model number for you though sorry.
If you are going to go with a custom job look at getting them made out of the mil spec vinyl that is used for cargo covers, or the nylon that is used for seats like on HMMWVs. That woudl also be tough! But I would think canvas would breath a bit better and wouldn't be as cold in the winter (if...
I'm not going to beat you up as I have a home made tow bar that I use to use for towing a M151 all around. Used it for well over a couple K miles in all kinds of weather and all kinds of road/traffic conditions with no issues. But, I designed mine a little different. I used 2 inch box tubing...
