The video was a little over 7 mins long. I think my best time was 9 mins pulling a 151 motor and transmission. A budy and I use to time ourselves when we would have to pull a motor. Did one at DRMO (was pulling parts and leaving the body for crushing...sigh) and we pulled it in 9 mins...
Factory dings and dents...lol  Yes the factory put in the right amount of dings and dents to give it that military look... :)
Seriously I agree...that's a good take off.
Pick your favorite post Ft Knox, Ft Dix etc and paint it up Red and mark it as the post fire department. No one would be the wiser. Throw some fire fighting stuff on it and you're good to go.:jumpin:
Gunny,
Thanks for the offer, but I'm just about done with the cab. I have gotten the floor in and I'm just finishing up some things before it goes back on the frame till I can get it media blasted. Funny thing is the fenders are in great condition. Just the drivers side of the cab had...
Nice looking truck. Looks like an easy restore. The trailer is a M416 1/4 ton for the M151 jeep. Will pull behind the M37 but a little hard to see in the mirrors. Get it home and make it run, clean it up and have fun with it.
[thumbzup]
I don't know who he was, but I have to say that the theam of the thread being about clean and secure install of equipment was good and helpful. To bad he couldn't see what was being said to him. I wish I had the money to put together SAR vehicles with lots of bells and whistles, but still...
Mil supply is here in Cleveland and I've used there products on some CJs and VWs and they are a fair to good quality. Shouldn't have to much problem with.
And Bob.....so what your saying is... 'I have em and you can't have em!'

I'm just throwing this out there for heck of it. I know a lot of people don't like the 700R4 because of the early problems they had with them, but if you get the right transmission builder you can get one built like a rock and almost bullet proof. That's not a bad option because you get a...
How are you with wood? As long as you provide a ground wire for the radio hooked to the body a nice wood console will look good. Use MDF and you can even paint it OD green and people will think it's metal... :)
If you're looking for mounting ideas the dash has plenty of room to mount a...
Hmmm... Here is a pic of the banks kit on a 6.2 and it shows the cross-over on the back side of the motor.

I would think if the cross-over tube was in the front that would cause more problems than hitting the bracket.
Looking at the pic of your altinator and a pic of the banks kit installed on a 6.2 diesel. It looks like it would be tight, but the turbo may just fit. The difficult part will be feeding the air cleaner to the turbo as you may not have enough room for that. All I can suggest is first take the...
Another Murphys Law on MV Ownership....
Like Law #1 You will spend more time under it than you will driving it.
Rule #2 All MVs leak during rain storms and the water will find the drivers right foot!
Law #3 All MVs mark their territory
and now I have Law #4... :)
