M151 ENGINE FOUR CYLINDER OHV PART I (1962) (link to govt video)

The video was a little over 7 mins long. I think my best time was 9 mins pulling a 151 motor and transmission. A budy and I use to time ourselves when we would have to pull a motor. Did one at DRMO (was pulling parts and leaving the body for crushing...sigh) and we pulled it in 9 mins...

    Who knows?

Factory dings and dents...lol  Yes the factory put in the right amount of dings and dents to give it that military look... :) Seriously I agree...that's a good take off.

Gunny, Thanks for the offer, but I'm just about done with the cab. I have gotten the floor in and I'm just finishing up some things before it goes back on the frame till I can get it media blasted. Funny thing is the fenders are in great condition. Just the drivers side of the cab had...

    my 51 M37

Nice looking truck. Looks like an easy restore. The trailer is a M416 1/4 ton for the M151 jeep. Will pull behind the M37 but a little hard to see in the mirrors. Get it home and make it run, clean it up and have fun with it.[thumbzup]

    HMMWV - Reno and SF

I don't know who he was, but I have to say that the theam of the thread being about clean and secure install of equipment was good and helpful. To bad he couldn't see what was being said to him. I wish I had the money to put together SAR vehicles with lots of bells and whistles, but still...

New Cummins HMMWV project in the works!

I'm just throwing this out there for heck of it. I know a lot of people don't like the 700R4 because of the early problems they had with them, but if you get the right transmission builder you can get one built like a rock and almost bullet proof. That's not a bad option because you get a...

    CB Installation - M1009

How are you with wood? As long as you provide a ground wire for the radio hooked to the body a nice wood console will look good. Use MDF and you can even paint it OD green and people will think it's metal... :) If you're looking for mounting ideas the dash has plenty of room to mount a...

Anyone install Banks Turbo in a M1010?

Hmmm... Here is a pic of the banks kit on a 6.2 and it shows the cross-over on the back side of the motor. 0554 Dp 62 35 Z Photo 1 I would think if the cross-over tube was in the front that would cause more problems than hitting the bracket.

Anyone install Banks Turbo in a M1010?

Looking at the pic of your altinator and a pic of the banks kit installed on a 6.2 diesel. It looks like it would be tight, but the turbo may just fit. The difficult part will be feeding the air cleaner to the turbo as you may not have enough room for that. All I can suggest is first take the...

M1025 - What year was this model produced?

Another Murphys Law on MV Ownership.... Like Law #1 You will spend more time under it than you will driving it. Rule #2 All MVs leak during rain storms and the water will find the drivers right foot! Law #3 All MVs mark their territory and now I have Law #4... :)
