I have a new NOS military dash pannel that I will be removing the gauges from to use on another project. If you interested in the pannel less gauges to then put 12v gaugues in like from VDO pm me and we can work something out.
The Hmmwv was designed to be moduler to a point. So the conversion...
Looks like you have some rust spots to patch up on the passinger side also? Above the door and in the body corner by the door. Or are those just blotches showing up?
Search the sale section there was a fellow selling tubles rims that fit the M101 tailer and would by default fit the M37. Gov. made and nice. You could put 900x16 on there with no problem. I don't know if he has anymore it was a while ago that he had them forsale.
That's the beauty of Mil Standard. Things like headlights, turn signals light buckets etc were all the same whether it was on a M35 or an M818 or m998 they shared many of the same parts.
I did a quick update with a bunch of pictuer on my project. You can see them here @ http://www.leathernaturally.com/m37projectpagetwo.htm

Thanks

The Gillispie paint from Rapco can be gotten from Army Jeep Parts in PA. The shipping may be less than from TX to you. Or maybe you can take a ride to PA and pick it up. Then you only have your fuel charges. It's a good paint and will do the job for you. Stay away from Aerevoe. It sucks!
Interesting truck. It looks like the frame was changed to a more modern frame. If you want to make the truck look more like a WWII truck and not like a monster truck as it does now. Here is what I would do. I would change the tires and rims to something more around a 900x16 sized tire...
You don't mention condition. Is it like new straight no dings looks like NOS even though it isn't? Or is it typical 35 year old truck grill that is dinged and bent and twisted? If it like new then yeah I could possible see getting 50-100 for it. If it looks like it came off an old truck well...
Well on line pictures are hard to see details. Once you posted the next set up close I could see the hack job. The first set of pictures made it look like factory knock outs. As in they were setting to pop in windows but never did.
@ still standing: I think I know which truck your talking...
It's been a long time since I've had a M880 to play with so I can't say from memory where the ground is, but I would say trace the wires. On the head light you have three wires low beam, high beam and ground. Trace it back to find the ground and fix it. Same with the marker lights. That...
I'm not trying to be critical here as I think you did a great job, but the earth brown looks a little thin. Like the green can be seen under it. Maybe it's just the camera and the PC playing tricks on my eyes. Did you have any problem spraying the brown? Again great job truck is looking...
Is this an M43 on the data plate? The windows were for the M152CN which is a canadian commo truck. I wonder if they started to make a M152 and then switch to M43 along the way? Strange. But then again stranger things have happen!
I like the sceen where they have to get the trucks up the cliff so they hook one to the other with a cable and pull it up. It was cool to watch anyway. I fell alseep watching it so I didn't see the ending....don't tell me the good guys win and the bad guys loose right? rofl
Cool glad to see you got some work out of your trucks.
How did they or you do the cammo? Water base paint to wash off when you go to finish paint? Rattle can krylon? Just wondering.
