Thanks Will:
I guess I onlty have one then, from what I can see. Now I have to figure out how to tap in the heater when I get one, and the convoy light when I mount it, as it has a 1 to 2 wire splitter included with it. By comparison, the Swiss S404.114...

Gentlemen:
I know that the M35A2 is supposed to have a breaker panel behind the dashboard on the firewall. "Saddam's Nightmare" is a 1971 Kaiser Jeep M35A2
standard cargo deuce, and either the panel is much different or smaller then a standard pickup panel, but I...

WarCloud:
As to your trip out of Colorado, my truck used to live at Fort Carson with BullDogMack13, and I'm pretty sure he drove it now and then like he stole it..... (Yes, Jay, that means you, when you forded the creek I'll bet you didn't put the flywheel...

Not quite geezing, but my S404.114 Unimog taught me the limits of my shoulder joints in quick maneuvers during October 2008, so the M35A2 got an Air-O-Matic after that courtesy of Brian R Bull, blessed may his name be and his progeny numberless!
The deuce rides easier...

Along with the list of tools and extras, I would suggest allowing increased stopping distance as you will be pulling that M105A2 without the air orver hydraulics helping you stop it. On my M105A2 I used the deuce, figuring that there would be few problems if the...

At least here in North East Texas we have Weems Wrecker Service in Clarksville, TX. Mr Weems was a deuce mechanic in Vietnam and just about drooled to get the chance to change out my engine's leaking rear main seal. He figured 11 hours, found out more like 16

I guess Convoy Lights wouldn't have been of much use either, if she was looking below the dashboard top for the wiper switch....? I guess when you're 84 its tough to remember where they put the headlight switches on em since you sold your Model "T"
(Middle of the...

So what will the data plate(s) on the dashboard read for this particular variant of the 6X6? 100 years from now David Doyle's great great grandkid's going to be doing an article on the "Experimental" Prototype 6X6 that will be sitting in some museum, and Will...

Sorry to hear your Pinzgauer's going to a new home...... At least it's not going to Wisconsin. The Pinz's I have seen around here (all 1 of them) are odd vehicles and I personaly felt they were more complex then they needed to be (compared...

Yet there had to be some realization that these trucks might have to work at high altitude when they were initially designed.....? If you check youtube and look for the one on the Macchu Pichu Railroad line, you will find that their diesel electric locomotives...

Dear Deuce Newbie:
It must be nice to have a deuce with a fording kit applied..... they seem to be fairly rare. The knobs on your truck for the fording kit are different then the air shift lever which is right in front of the shifter. When the FWD is...

Wish I could get in on this, but being between jobs in NE Texas and not knowing where the next meal's coming from.... I gotta keep my M35A2 close to home. It will be in the Paris Christmas Parade December 5th, 2009 hauling VFW veterans.....
Good luck and happy hunting, so to...

I wonder HOW many old deuces were scrapped and sold to Japan and China, just to be reincarnated as Toyotas?????:-D At least American engineering came out ahead on this one. I rather remember Strom Thurmond's comment to the Japanese when they said we were...

I got a NOS muffler for the deuce from Sam Winer and it had a coupla small spots of rust, juts wire brush it and paint it with 1200* Black boiler paint. This stuff was made back in the 80's and 90's, and probably sat in a non-climate controlled warehouse. If you...

I've done 7-8 hours straight on the interstate at 45-50, sometimes 54, empty and with an M105A2 on the rear. I tend to stop every coupla hours or more often to check bearing temperatures, tire temperatures, p--s break (deuces shake the ---- outta you) and to check oil...

"Saddam's Nightmare", the icon in my user title, is a 1971 Kaiser Jeep M35A2 which served in Vietnam and Desert Storm. It carries the markings for the 3rd A.Cav as it's former owner BullDogMack13, served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in that unit. The Markings are

The michelins on the Canadian Truck or equivalent Goodyears would do better then the NDT/NDCC's on a deuce, and singles would work better then the duals on the back. In W.Va. logging and construction work you soon learn that a deuce with NDT/NDCC tires is about...

Transfer punches work well for dimpling the cab wall top flange if yours doesn't have the dimples...... It seems that when I removed the hard top on my 1971 M35A2 that the bolt holes had been all drilled at the factory in the top rail, and I suspect the hard tops...

White Owl Parts has the seals for less, I don't think I spent $40.00 on rear main seal
and a coupla bucks more for the seal carrier housing seal.... If you do one, do the other too. On mine the rear main seal (original was fair), it was the carrier housing seal that...
