You will need to use the keyboard " CTRL V" to paste as the forum has the right click & paste disabled. SShhh! don't tell anyone about the CTRL V thing, cause they'll probably disable that too.

    M880 Seat Cover Source?

The military replacement covers were just sewn from a plain vinyl and did not have the pattern of the original. The back and bottom have the same pattern. Also worth noting, the Dodge Warlock & Lil Red Wagon trucks also could be had with black bench seats, although I believe they had a...

    Wheel ID

stock m880 are 6 7/8" wide Humvees are 8.5 wide ( I thought) the only factory 8" Dodge wheels (of that era) were the "wagon wheel" style rim width is measured inside the bead

Bias ply are tubless also, it's just the M880 rims are a bit narrow which makes them ride on the center bead (hazard on wet pavement) and the risk of popping off the bead if you air down.

    Wheel ID

Thanks for the hot tip! I forgot about the Ranger Current peacekeepers have 17.5 inch wheels so I doubt this has those. The Cadillac Gage Ranger (called peacekeeper by the Air Force) of the early 80's. Likely could be the source. being a late 70's early 80's design I think they would be 16.5...

Bobbed truck with cut down M34 bed

Yes I have had it on my hard drive for some time, I was hoping for a full size version. this file is approx 5 x7 @100% hard to read at best, which is why I would like a clear full size version. Does it say on that sheet that it was a modified M34 bed? Or is that a best guess

    Wheel ID

Check out the right rear wheel in the pic. Now I'm pretty familiar with the M880 series of trucks, and know it is not original issue. This wheel is very interesting to me. (read as I want a set of them!!) Pretty sure it is not a reversed Humvee wheel. What about the M101A3? They were set up...

I didnt know where else to put this, military pickup question

I thought the 1008 had the Detroit locker in the rear as well. Here in Michigan those trucks fetch near $1500 cannibalized at auction. The front axle alone can bring $1000.00 If he bid $2800 for it, he also paid $280 buyers premium and 6% sales tax on top of that and another $60 for paperwork...

Another way to Bob a Deuce!

welding on a truck frame is a no no. If it was a good idea why didn't the manufacturer do it? it would have been easier than rivets. I would not trust the structural integrity of the trailer frame under a 10k truck.

    M880 Seat Cover Source?

I received your PM on the GB door, very slim chance that I have a good one, but I have one more truck to check. Any 75 to 79 or so can work, todays paints can make any color look right! <be careful of a shady ebayer out of Whitehall PA> I do have 1 NOS seat bottom, beautiful! but I won't part...

    Active Duty M880's

Recently whille being home on leave after returning from Iraq a soldier from down the road here was telling me that at Ft Riley, they had a "Dodge just like yours" that they used to get the mail with. I didn't question or argue, I just figured it was a newer Dodge pickup that wasn't an M series...

    M928a2

I have read somewhere that the 928A2's were USMC only & had lockers. I'm a bit skeptical on that, & thinking that all branches had them & the USMC versions had the lockers. [SIZE=1] Speaking of guys with deeper pockets than I.................
