I replaced the standard wipers with the 41-01 arms and 31-13 blades and have significantly better visibility.
The arms are adjustable to you can move the blade right up to the bottom of the motor and get a nice clear view.
Spray paint the arms black (they come in natural metal so some flat...
A design issue.. the transmission is a splash system. A change in the casting or some other device to enhance the flow of lube would solve it. It GL-5 isn't getting splashed to the right spots, neither is GL-1. They have the same viscosity (80-90) and other than some additives are the same...
"Remember, the Army had to go to Rockwell to get these made, they couldn't have done it themselves."
The Army kills people and blows things up. They don't make vehicles, ammo or gasoline. When originally produced Rockwell said use GL-1 (or whatever the MIL-SPEC for GL-1 was, then it was...
* API Categories GL-1, GL-2, GL-3 and GL-6 were declared inactive by SAE Technical Committee 3 in 1995, even though oils may be marketed with these designations.
Mertior never made the transfer cases..they were a result of buying rockwell. So other than some Army support contracts they have little new to say. The Mertior documents for the transfer case are simply (wait for it) original ROCKWELL documents!
I can't see how people can demand 'standards'...
The closed cabs have that classic 30's truck look. I kinda wish I had gotten a closed cab with a winch but my mid 43 open cab is a keeper.
Who knows.. under the bonnet may be a factory original GMC270.. decals and all.
For heating things up I use MAPP. Its hotter than propane. Propane may take a minute to heat up metal to pop a rusted bolt, MAPP does it in 10-20 seconds. Its available in the plumbing section... costs slightly more than propane, but not to much.
I use acetylene for cutting metal.. gasoline...
I just want to give a heads up to the oh so common question of M35a2 wiper replacement.
The ANCO 41-01 arms and 31-13 blades fit great and do a much better job than the standard arms.
I got the arms from RockAuto.com for $11 each with $12 shipping (total was $35.82 for two wipers to my door...
Is it the original engine or has it been replaced?
I mean absolutely no disrespect by this... but do you know what an 8/42 GMC engine should look like compared to say a late 43 or even a 44? There were 10 different engine configurations for the CCKW. 17 if you count DUKWs and AFKWXs .
Easiest...
Again you need to read the statute....
They can make loans against the funds that must be repaid. Nothing nefarious... all legal.
And citing a hit piece from a politician is not the sort of thing I would but much faith in.
Conspiracy theorists unite!!! For Federal Taxes:
Where does the revenue from the fuel tax go?
The revenue from the collected fuel taxes are deposited into the Highway Trust Fund, which has several accounts. Though the percentages vary depending on the fuel type...
The front end (frame to bumper gussets) are gone. That's going to be a PITA to fix simply becuase you have to find a person willing to cut them off the truck they are selling.
As for the GMC logo that's not really a tell. WWWAAYYYYY to many people have added the logo to a truck that never had...
Incorrect on all counts. All fuels are taxed by Federal, State and sometimes even local taxes. Diesel or gasoline all pay taxes.
If in a POV the wear and tear on a road from a 2500-7000lb car/truck is nowhere near as severe as a 60,000+ tractor trailer with 5 axles.
Each State gets Federal...
Magistrate Courts in Schuylkill County PA don't allow lawyers or discovery (so districts do, most do not).. so unless you dazzle the Magistrate you will fail and will have to appeal to the next level.
If they haul you in for an Administrative hearing (DOT can do that) you have even less...
Lots of people pooping and posting completely incorrect info.. how about read the thread before posting?
Its NOT an extra fuel tax. IFTA simply is a way to pay the states that you drive through fairly. I am not a fan of taxes, but fuel taxes are the only taxes that do what they say they do...
I don't want to get all patriotic but unless you fight the ticket they will not stop.
The fines/fees for forgetting to file are just as bad as not having the sticker.
I fight every ticket I get. I have gotten speeding tickets, inspection sticker tickets, tag tickets you name it and fought...
