    Fuel sticker violation in NC

You should tone down the rhetoric and think about the reason WHY they specifically want the money: Tri axle trucks cause more damage to roads that twin axle. Its really that simple. You can blather on about unfairness, but roads to not fix themselves. You cannot have nice smooth pothole free...

    Check your fuel pump!!!

So would switching to a hard line solve the issue? Is the line 3/4ths for flow issues? Would going down to 5/8ths really cause an issue? IIRC there should only be 3-5psi from the tank pump, correct?

    GMC 353 (orig.7.5x20) on M35A2 9.00x20 tires

Most brake setups are plumed to understear the vehicle (make the front lock up first) that is an important safety issue. If you lock up the rears, they you can 'skid out' much easier. I don't know if there even is a proportional valve in the CCKW or the M35 brake system... I doubt it...

    M37? GMC combo?

From the picture of the fuel tank (the only real tell) it does not appear to be a shop truck tank. Shop trucks had the fuel filler sticking out from the front of the tank, it was almost between the rear of the cab and the front of the bed...

    M37? GMC combo?

I could find no modification or mention of any hard top for the open cab 353 as a production (42-45) option. Post war, don't know. Do you have pics or any documentation to support your statements that it is an 'original production' option? Very interested if you do.

    Ft. Indiantown Gap, Anneville, PA

Mike is at the Mechanicsburg and Anneville lots. Great guy. Helped me start Milla (slave cable and a shot of ether) and was very helpful when we were recovering mikeys two deuces in Feb (in 20F weather, snow, and 8 inches of ice water under the trucks). Other sites may have less helpful...

Gl how many in a triwall game

We all know the end game was a snarky comment along the lines of 'GL is incompetent if they cannot tell the difference between 64 and 300'.

Gl how many in a triwall game

Of course you PREVIEWED the item you bid on to ensure that they were jacks, and there were 300+ of them.... Oh wait, this is SS... bash GL for lying... that's always the correct answer.

Need to get a truck from fl to PA

I don't want to go to far off topic but $6 a mile? Maybe if you were trying to get a dedicated dispatched truck... most brokers can get you a ride for $3-4.. but you lose the ability to pick a specific time... you can pick a day, but generally not an hour. There are plenty of route trucks...

Need to get a truck from fl to PA

With loaded fright over $3 a mile you would save more if you took off work, flew down, drove it back. Say it takes 3 days, do you net $1k/day to pay for a shipper vs doing it yourself? Heck I'll drive it back it for $500 + costs :)

    Transmission // Clutch slip

Check your clutch pedal free play. IIRC it should be an inch.. TM will have the exact number. You should smell the clutch lining burn if its slipping... unless its all gone then you will hear metal on metal.

Gl put my purchase in the abandonment section

First time I went to the GL lot in Mechanicsburg they were chock full of stuff. I doubt that they would have even considered an extension. Second time, it was much less cluttered, but still had rows of trucks/gear. Third time Milla was in the corner with another truck.. but with vast, wide...

Qestioned GL as to source of their info.

How can you expect a GL employee to be 100% accurate in the item description? They sell M35s and typewriters and everything in between. Can YOU list the exact defect of every item (all of which you never have seen before) first time with 100% accuracy? Just about every truck is at GL with a...

J pipe prices ... parts prices in general

Look at the price for the knuckle boots. Same part, same (single) manufacturer... I've seen a $10 spread on a $25 part. Either zippered on solid, rubber or silicon some places seem to simply have a 50% mark up. Ditto for the clamps... I've seen them for $6-11.. for the same part. With...

    Waste oil Filtration system

I plan on going low tech... I just ordered 3 filter bags 1, 10, 50 micron for $20 total (shipped) I will nest them inside each other and let gravity do the work. I only plan on doing relatively clean motor oil (from family and friends cars) and very little volume. I was considering the oil...

    Pics of the Studebaker US6

CCKW.org is more active than G503.com Be wary of some of the advice you get.... a lot of people have 'gotten it to work' but really have little knowledge what they really did.

    GL payment with paypal

I thought the OP had a paypal labeled CC, not simply using a paypal account. The long story of treachery and deceit is interesting.... whats the other side of the story?
