This truck was not a deuce dump. The deuce dump had a different trunion plate and reinforcement plates rivited along the outside of the frame rails.
The second pic shows the tipper trunion plate and rivited side piece.
half of the trucks I bought were H7 and the rest F7.
I drove one home 2700 miles that was listed as H7. There were a couple next to it that sold in same sale, about the same money, that were listed F7. Mine had better tires and had a better overall appearance. Go figure! It's a crapshoot and...
Like most will tell you, expect the worst and hope you get lucky.
I don't know how long ago that unit caught your eye but, if you are reasonably close you should have called and made an appointment to preview the truck. I have bought from pics and been lucky. I know others that ended up with...
GM and Isuzu has had a very long working relationship as GM has held much of their stock over the years. I recall when GM hired their engineers to help design the Duramax line. The motor is built in Moraine, Ohio, near Dayton. GM owns 60% of the 6.6 litre Duramax venture. It never was an Isuzu...

This pic was after I just dropped an oversized load where I...
The dump has 2 way cylinders, pushes up and pulls down. You need to engage the pto by pushing in the clutch and moving the lever all the way forward, let clutch out gently, lever forward to raise the dump and rearward to lower it.
I heard they do a good job with their kits. They also have a bolt kit that supplies most of the bolts needed. Just ask them about it.
As for myself I have spring sets and a great spring shop where I get Ubolts made. I spend a lot of time rounding up Grade 8 or better US bolts for all my...
I wanted to keep the full capabilities of the 1008's electrics. I use this truck to pull trailers including the M116 with 003 genset. Being able to jump another mv along the road or in the field is a nice feature.
The diesel torque converter was a new custom built I had replaced the orginal with...
It was a pleasure helping you get your outfit home!
Bruce, I thought of you when he began with the filter problem as he was in your state,(small one at that), and are always helpful. I was hoping you had or knew of someone with filters nearby. Advising him to run without the primary filter was...
