JImbo,
No firm plans for Gen. Sam's....
I haven't made it there yet, want to go check out the landscape, but 100+ degrees and travelling 90 miles in the 09 is rough..... I'm going to continue to attempt to get up there in the near future. The BVORR location is a GREAT site, also like coming home...
Hey Ronbo,
I'm thinking you heard OIL not gas........
I typically dump a quart of oil in the tank about every 2 or 3 fillups....
I'm thinkin it helps with the IP lubrication..... because of new ULSD.
I FINALLY spoke with Sherry at Gen. Sam's offroad park today (5-27-11).
Here the scoop.
Weekend cost is $45 per vehicle so Friday, Saturday, Sunday with $5 additional per person for weekend.
They have BIG trails that the duece's and 5 tons will fit on, some trails don't know how many.
We can...
there is nothing "special" on the 09, that can't be procured from either GM dealer or aftermarket suppliers.
It's painted camo, but it just a civvy K5 painted camo.
Tech90,
Welcome to the site!!!
Drive the 09 for a while and you WILL be surprised how capable the truck is in stock form.....
Once you start adding "stuff" to it, the reliability will decrease.
These trucks were built for the REMF's not the front lines... i.e. (female photographer in FT. Hood...
check LMC or classic truck..... they have the parts if I remember correctly.
Also looks like the spring isn't broken just the mounts/clamps????
or do the junk yard thing
westy....
meds aren't working much anymore.....
try mixing alcohol and the little blue pills with the green and red stipes....
the colors will become spectacular as you slowly travel through your tortured life.....rofl
but yea it's getting old when the voltage question or part number...
Are we still discussing this?

latest update for optional venue. I have tried to speak with a live person at Gen. Sam's for the last week. I have left several messages, but have not received a callback. I will attempt throught the end of the week and then see if I have anything to report.
looks good. I did the same to my 09, but put 33x12.5x15's with 4" lift.....
I like the extra clearance, just enough for the fun, not too much to get in and out.
I also considered a light dusting of flat to knock off the shine, but have been doing other things...

YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!!
Now get back to WORK!!! LOL
Steve,
Nice truck!!!!
Good job getting wife to "HELP" make movie, at least now she has a stake in it.....

the mount should have a "channel" that allows the mounting bolt to slide to fit the tire.
If you can fix it, I have my 09 at work. I assume it's the same style mount, I can take pictures at lunch an post.
