I've got both the M116A3 and the M101A3 trailers and was able to subsidize the purchase with the sale of the A3 HMWVV tires and wheels to someone that wanted them.
I like the wider cargo body, the racks and the raised axle that the A3 has as well as the increased weight capacity.
I wouldn't...
Big difference between "Black Ice" and ice.
Black Ice forms at temperatures above 32 F. The roads appear as if the pavement is dry which lulls you into a false sense of security.
Ice from a freezing rain or from melted then refrozen precipitation is a different creature.

I used to run a Freightliner with a 475 Cummins, 13 speed Road Ranger, 3.73 gears and 12.00X24.5 tires. Maximum rpm was 2350 before the governor kicked in. There was a 250 rpm drop between gears.
I cursed @ 80mph most of the time right around 1950 rpm when traveling south on I-85 to Atlanta...
If coming from Elkton without scales, come across Rt 222 to Rt 1, then south on Rt 1.
Rt 1 changes names to Belair Rd which intersects I-695.
I'm working in the AM, so my day is shot, but my finances are looking up.
Go to LOGSA ( https://www.logsa.army.mil/etms/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewsearchform&CFID=1425975&CFTOKEN=71eb2817fac3a036-5E546E3D-D133-4871-311440F2E6EDA598 ) and type in the model number (pub title) for the trailer that you are interested in then download the TM for the trailer.

Other than the weight of the milti-fuel engine (approx 2700 lbs), the physical size (3'x5'x4' tall) and the receipant vehicle needing a 6 gallon cooling system, nothing.
The Stryker uses a planetary geared hub which is huge compared to this wheel.
I'd look for it being off of a South African armored vehicle, or something like the International Harvester MXT.
The composite deck material like Trex is way too heavy for the seats, weight wise.
Save your pennies and get the fiberglass replacement slats. IIRC they al ready come in 12' lengths. The fiberglass should cost a good bit less than Trex.
The first truck is a M1087a1 .
As for the second one, it appears to be the same body type as the body on the M1087, except based on a M925/M928 chassis.
Don't take a chance on an epoxy repaired tank. You may have fixed the spot where it broke thru, but there are other locations just as bad.
Air tanks are cheap, having brakes when you need them is priceless.

My old shop air compressor was built in...
I haven't seen the coolant version, but the single and dual piston version parts kits should be available from any shop that services air brake components.
The only compressor that I have a NSN number for is the M35A3 truck.
NSN 2530013983384 Cage 11083 listed as being made by Cat...
Whom ever gets them will need deep pockets as the weight listed was 1,122,000 lbs.
My money says that befoe this aution gets opened that you are going to need a bid deposit of atleast $50,000 going in.
The last stainless steel I scrapped from sheet, I got 80 cents per pound. I get better...
You are correct sir.
The tandem axle version without crane is the M1083 while the addition of the crane makes the truck a M1084.
Oshkosh truck received the contract for the up-armored version.
I also don't think that there is enough clearance between the axle and the frame when you attempt placing the axle above the springs.
I installed a set of M796/M1061 trailer wheels on one of my M105 trailers which lowered the bed height down to 29 inches from the 37 inches that I started with...
Too many examples of government waste to get your bowels in an uproar.
My M105a3 trailers came out of Massachusetts and were trucked to Ft Meade. Uncle Sugar paid $1400 to have them trucked. I paid just under $1K for two brand new trailers, tarps, racks and bows with all new radial tires. The...
Government could be dumping the M1101 trailer not realizing that they are the exact same trailer as the M1102 just with a higher load rating dependant on the tow vehicle.
Second thing is that the M1101 could still need the three MWO's applied.
I haven't seen that the MWO's apply to the...
Max width should be 102 inches without a permit.
If you are going to haul construction equipment offroad and locally, the mil trailer makes sence.
If hauling over improved roads i.e. highways, a goose neck or fifth wheel commcerical trailer is the way to go.
Provided that your not using a tabletop mini mill, a 9X42 or a 9X49 is more than large enough to perform the operation I described.
Crank the "Y" axis all the way out and shift the "X" all the way to one side. If need be you can snug the head up against the column to get almost 18" to the...
