painting with an air paintgun, 101

Mike, I'll be headed thru Winchester/Front Royal in another two weeks to visit my folks. If you can wait, I can instruct you on how to set up a spraygun so that you can probably turn out a paint job that you won't have to be ashamed of. Let me know if this will work for you.

    A question for MKT owners

I would look at a single 10K axle with electric brakes set up for dual wheels. You could use your current M1028 spare tire if needed. A 235X85R16 load range E tire should be rated close to 4K single and 3500 dual.

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

I use a rotorary converter in the house to run my Bridgeport. I looked at the phase converter route when I set the shop up. I needed to run a dedicated 100 amps to the garage for the converter in addition to the power for the lights and computers and AC unit. When I weighed the cost of the...

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

The policy of the local power company is to not run 3 phase electric to residential areas. They are acting as the zoning cops in this case. When I first started using the generator and mill, diesel/home heating oil was $1.50 a gallon. I could crank out a couple of hundred parts a 3-4 hour...

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

I ran a MEP-005 to power my old Mori Seiki 25 hp milling machine. The generator used 5.8 gallons per hour for the 1200 hours that I used it. My local power company would not run 3 phase service to my garage, so I took matters into my own hands.

    My M977 HEMTT...

The GL Hemtt was a M984 wrecker and sold for just under $25K. From the pics posted, it was very rough. I know that these trucks don't show up available to us pieons, but that truck needed atleast $50K worth of work.

400hz gen sets able to do 60hz?

For the average person, a 400 Hz generator is a large paper weight. You can't easily change them over. A 400 Hz machine will power resistive loads, aircraft or military radar equipment, but not much else. If you are looking for a mil genset, look for a MEP-002 or 003. The 002 is a 5 k set...

    Substitute for milspec BLACK

The Federal Standard color number for flat black is 37038. Rapco's paint is not CARC, it's an enamel paint. Any automotive paint supplier should be able to color match to that code number for the polyurethane that they sell if you want to use polyurethane.

    U joint Question

Dudley, If need be I can fabricate the caps for you. I'm not fast since it would be a late evening job for me, but I can make them. The caps with the straps spot welded on were also used on some PTO shafts.

    deuce with a camper

No bed hacking required. It's a standard camper slide in unit, just over 4' between wheel wells. If it were mine, I'd get rid of the straps and install some turn buckles to secure it to the truck bed.

    deuce with a camper

The truck in question has been stored in the Fullerton Mini storage yard for a few months. I had been meaning to take some photo's, but the area is not condusive to stopping and parking. After returning from the salvage yard Friday I spotted the same truck headed West on Rt 40. It's got...

Who wants to make some money?

Cryptic postings require additional questions. You posted wanting to have two conex boxes moved. You listed a gross weight of 67,200 but didn't post actual weights. Most tow trucks don't have the ability to lift more than 15 k fully extended, which will be required to lift a conex box. You...

How to tow 2 105 back 3hrs to the house?

You can't get three M105 trailers on a 16' trailer unless you stack them, then the tongue weight will be heavy or there won't be any depending on where the stacked trailers are placed. The M105 box is 9' feet long and weighs 2750 lbs +/_ a little.

Who wants to make some money?

The trailer you posted pics of is called a Conex box. Before anyone can get you an estamate of the charges, you will need to supply some additional information. What is the total weight of the box with contents? Any hazmats involved? Are there any overhead space issues? Trees, power lines...

    ANCHORAGE Ak?

Can't help with pick up or packing, but USPS priority mail flat rate box is the way to go. If it will fit in a box 14X9X6", it's $14 and change to any place the PO delivers.

    Deuce vs neon

Whiteford is in Harford County, correct? Did the Harford County Sheriffs department do the investigation or was it the Maryland State Police? Under Maryland law, drivers involved in an accident are required to present thier drivers license and registration unless medically unable. If Barney...

    Latest 915A1 Unusual features

If you are refering to the singled out wheels mounted to the outside, yes plenty of times. Some variants he M915 I've seen listed on the data plate that the truck was equiped with 12.00X24" tires even though the truck was riding on 11.00X22.5 tubeless tires. If you picked up the truck like...
