That was my first try. The botl size dia of the u-bolt was too large for the slots in the bracket, I may end up making the bracket holes large. Thanks for the suggestion and tip.

Maybe they put only a 10k winch on a deuce because they know the 5 ton wrecker is right around the corner. Hence, the deuce winch should not be used for major bogs therefore a "wrecker" would be the appropiate tool for a vehicle recovery. Just a thought.
