Kind of like the M-14 rifle. Short lived and not appreciated until years later. Didn't know you had a good thing until its gone. Now look, it is consider one of the best rifles ever made. Typical Army.
Even the Marine's new 7 tons only use 2 batteries now. They have places for four batteries but only use two. The manual says only use four if extreme cold weather conditions are expected.
To get to the point, I only use two batteries in my 5 tons. Works fine, its cheaper, and less to go...

The truck pictured in your book looks like a 800 series 5 ton that went thru the ESP. That looks like a bad a s s truck. Too bad the Army didn't go through with it.
Those halftrack M16 tool boxes love to hold water and dirt. I am always cleaning mine to prevent rust. I sure do like the way your country demils weapons. Are demilled weapons easy to come by?
Do you have a radio set in the M16? If so, do you have a picture of it?
As a side note, it is usually the squadrons commander's aircraft that has the fancy paintings on them. Not just anyone flies those aircraft except the commander of the squadron.
The Marines did this with an F-18 and I met the Gunny who did it. i look bad as, however, as time went on and parts were replaced, it was hard to keep up with the paint pattern. It was done more of a OH Rah kind of thing and not for practicality.
