I dropped the oil out of the transfer case and transmission, and as you would suspect, the oil in the transfer was watery. The pump sits high on the right side of the transfer case and a large tube comes from the bottom of the TC to the pump. I will replace the oil in both with 80-90w,. Question...

After talking around to TNJ Murry and Riv-Rad, someone said that there may have been problems with the reverse linkage and that they have seen several machines come in with the reverse linkage removed. Has anyone encounted this, or is there a modification that came be made ? ? ?

Seems to me that the rear axle housings are about 8" or 4" on either side with the same size of times. I have owned 2 of them and have had to strip them down and put on normal rims and 11:00 tires. The local DOT roving check station has a fit when they come through, wondering how in the ****...

I have not been watching, but what have decent M-817 dump trucks been selling for lately from GovLiq ? ? A lot have been down in Mississippi and freight always plays a big part in a truck purchase. THe last M-813's I bought were for around $4,000 down in Barstow.
