I live on the other side of Yellowstone from you. I run 5 - 800 series 5 tons.
My 2 M-812 bridge trucks have always been harder to start then my matching pair of M-813's.
Anyway - after you have had the glowplug switch on for the recommended period of time and after you have hand pumped up...
I came up with the same problem, that there is not a commercial air filter cross available.
I had to purchase filters from a large military truck dealer, such as Memphis Equipment or Boyce Equipment.
I have 5,
2- M-812 bridge trucks
2- M-813 cargo trucks
1- M-819 aircraft recovery wrecker
I made the 812's and 813's into farm trucks and we keep the 819 busy repairing all the equipment.

It looks like they have surplused some of the newer series of light cargo trailers. I have seen them brand new on semi's going down the freeway.
When Liberty Auto bought out all the weasel parts, now I can see what a PITA it would have been to gather all that stuff up.
Thanks a lot for the...
I have a full set of the deep dish rims off of a M-812 bridge truck sitting here in eastern Idaho.
They do have a full set of 14:00 NDT's on them.
You would have to get a good opinion if they would work or not.
I really think you need the proper super single rims off of a 800 or 900 series.
I do...
Anybody who is anybody in weasels hangs out at www.m29cweasel.com however most of us have varied interests and hang out here on the SS site.
If you need help to rebuild track, check out my website at www.snakeriver4x4.com
The weasel is just an odd vehicle that doesn't fit into any of the SS...
The rollers are just some large casters that fit the holes. One person can easily push it around the shop.
You can see that most rear ends on the T-15's are badly rusted between the stowage bins, and especially the battery box area on the left rear corner.
I have hardly ever seen a weasel...
This is where I am at with weasel T-15 # 99. I have # 186 sitting in the same shop.
I am by Yellowstone Park, so I assume that these might have come down from Camp Harrison and the FSSF Devil's Brigade.
This is 1 of 20 known to exist and only less than 5 restored at this time.
Restoration...
How about one of the rarest of the rare. 1942 T-15 weasel # 99.
1 of 20 known to exist.
Possbly came down from Camp Harrison, MT home of the FSSF, Devil's Brigade.
How about a 1/2 ton command car that rolled off the line December 11, 1941, 4 days after Pearl Harbor. Plus throw in a Major General, LaFrenze of the Idaho National Guard.
Origionally came from Fort Lewis 44th Infantry 200th Field Artillary under Brigider General Biderlinden.
Bought a contract service truck out of Hill AFB. Of course it is winter now.
When you first turn on the key and the glow plug light comes on, you wait and it starts right up.
However, you turn it off and come back in a few minutes and the light might come on, or it might start up good...
Looks like someone really got out the welder and welded the crap out of things. Of course to do it totally origional, you would have to tear all that off back to the frame. Come up with the correct frame extensions and winch bumper.
I do carry the correct top plates and bottom rods. Every...
You may have to beak down and talk to one of the big dealers such as Memphis or Boyce. It would be best to make a road trip, as freight would be next to impossible on a good set.
I go to BOYCE about once a year and that kind of stuff is just laying around in piles.
The official ones are hard to come by. I remember going to the Army surplus store or the local parts house and buying some straight shackle that looked good for the application.
Are the origionals, straight or bent ? ? ?
