Newbie With a Wiper Switch Question

You are correct my friend. Should look like a knob. On the back side you should see 2 air lines, one going in from your air compressor and one going out to the wiper motors. No electrical wiring would indicate its a valve and not a switch. Good luck my friend!

Newbie With a Wiper Switch Question

RE: Re: RE: Newbie With a Wiper Switch Question I'd agree. Counter-clockwise is the rotation. You should hear the air bleeding out to the wiper motors.

    Rockwell 2.5T Front Axles...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Rockwell 2.5T Front Axles... Just got a hold of my local guy out here. He's got a few, in the neighborhood of $450 - $500 each. Not bad I guess. Takeouts, unknown condition. Haven't seen them yet.

Newbie with Another Question: Brake Fluid

Stick with DOT 5 Fluid. If you get the cheap DOT 5 Brake fluid, at least check the year that is was manufactured. Some stuff sits on a shelf for years and may or may not go bad (If it can at least.) I know is very expensive, but Napa Truck Stores have 1 Gallon containers of DOT 5 - Factory...

    Rockwell 2.5T Front Axles...

Anyone have a good source for a couple of front Rockwell Axles for a 2.5 T Deuce? Just curious if there is anything perhaps in Southern California. Just had a fellow ask me today if I knew of anyone. He's got a truck that he'd like to do a "Quad Steer". Out of state shipping would be quite a...

    preserving tires

Though I know it can be expensive, but I heard recently that DOT 5 Silicone Brake Fluid could be used. Anyone else here have any ideas? If it's okay, then you could get a gallon from spuce mountain surplus for about $30.00 plus shipping, otherwise Napa carries it but its like $105.00 a gallon...

    Horn Button Help...

That figures. Another reason why I couldn't figure this out. Seems like the same monkey who has screwed with the rest of the truck seems to have gotten to the horn button too! I've gone through a lot of the major components on this truck to find out that someone else who worked on it before...

    Horn Button Help...

Ok, I'm getting frusterated. I had to take apart the steering wheel, column, and pitman arm so that I could move the gear box to replace the output seal. Now that that is all done, I'm reassembling the whole deal. Almost completed, and now I can't figure out how the heck the horn button goes...

    turn signal question

Check your wiring throughout. Sounds like it may be grounded or have a short. Just a guess on this end. Disconnect the wires at each of the lights, isolate them, then turn on the signals. See if that changes the indicator on the turn signal unit. If it blinks like normal, then you have a...

I feel like such a cheap ho

RE: H-Depot Desert Tan Recipe Hey Will, did you do any real prep work before you painted it like sanding or primer? What kind of paint did you get? Just like the Exterior Behr Flat Paint or something different? Just curious on what you did. Orionspath, I'd love to tell what the recipe is...

I feel like such a cheap ho

Apparently I forgot to mention that I didn't care about what paint was used. Truck just sits in our shop awaiting DMV Registration paperwork (another month or two). Just needed to throw a coat of the cheap stuff on it so that once the paper work comes, I can put it on the corner with a For...

I feel like such a cheap ho

Will, Not to Hi-Jack your thread here, but I did the same thing. My brother's deuce needed a new paint job. So I just power washed the truck, went to Home Defect and had 4 gallons of Behr Exterior Flat Paint color matched to the color that was previously on the truck. In about 2 hours, with...

    De-mounting / Mounting tires on a Deuce

You can do it yourself if you feel comfortable and ballsy to do it... I did mine. So far I have swapped out about (36) M35 tires and rims. I bought the bead breaker and pry bars from Napa Truck Parts and the Cage I got with my truck when I bought. It's very scary during the inflation...

    Battery

I got 6TL Batteries from Interstate Batteries directly. Think it was $135.00 Each plu core deposit. When using the 6TL Batteries, be sure to check the water levels frequently like your supposed to. Otherwise, premature failure and SOL about that. Cya!

    Stearing Gear Box Problem...

So, my stearing gear box has been noisy for a while. When I turn the wheel is makes a load screaching sound. So, I decided to check the gear box and found that the previous owner removed the fluid (Gear oil per the TM) and filled it up with grease. I then removed as much grease as possible...
