Hi Karl,
Welcome to the Outfit! The Multi-Fuel engine can be run on a lot of things. Waste Motor Oil (WMO) is a possibility. It needs to be filtered so it doesn't gum up your injectors. Then it gets thinned with a little gas (to the consistency of diesel fuel). Heck, if you have a...

I don't know for sure. I have seen some that sold by way of auction for a thousand bucks. I looked just quickly on the Web and found some as high as $12,500 retail. I think you can list it for what somebody will pay.

Welcome to the Outfit!
I am guessing you may have already downloaded the TM's (Technical Manuals) as part of your reading? If not, having those might be really useful.

Absolutely! A good tire man is really good with his tools... A few thumps with a hammer, grab a pair of spoons and "poof" off comes the front bead, then the back if its required. Then he goes back the other way.

Yep. My dad owned the 7th house down the coast from the Garden City Pier. He had spent almost a year sprucing the place up - and then Hugo hit as a Cat4 or Cat5 and wiped everything from the pier down to house #24 - except his. The waves ripped out the floor in the back two rooms where he...

Loving every minute of it too!
Be sure to download the TM's (Technical Manuals) and the Lube Order for your Deuce. First in the list of TMs...

Would be nice to have that same comparison to Hurricane Hugo. That dumped a lot of water in the mountains and it was still a Cat1 storm when it made it to the city of Charlotte. It wreaked havoc around here with the utility grid. Power lines were down everywhere...

Sounds like a story that went around when the UAW was going on strike - way back when. Supposedly somebody on the assembly line put a coke bottle in the door of a truck with a note in it saying "bet you looked forever before you found this".

I hate to say it, but your batteries (or maybe just one) sound like they are dead.
You could remove the batteries and take them to an Auto Zone or NAPA and have them load test the batteries. You should replace them in pairs. Otherwise one will be a drain on the other...

You might consider adding a can of dye to the Air system. Look under the truck too - where the back is routed. The dye might be just as easy as a leak detector...

Well, I have been watching the goings on in this thread. I have seen lots of trips logged on this site with this truck - and I never would have figured a clogged sock would have been the problem. LOTS of miles have passed under this vehicle...
Congratulations on finding the fix!

Compression looks good enough. What about the plugs? Have you checked the "gap" on them? #1 looks (might be just the pic) like it has been dropped on the electrode. They all look a little "worse for the wear" in my opinion.
