Do the steel plates on the floor and walls of the Command box serve a structural purpose? Or can I just remove them? They don't line up with anything. -

Coach, I've been kicking around making my own steel grill, because I like the old design better than the "shark" look. If your fab shop is interested, let me know. If anyone else is interested I may pursue a fab shop I've worked with in the past. -

Only if you're buying the drinks.... Otherwise it hopefully helps dispel the myth that just because an LMTV is listed as a non-runner it isn't necessarily junk. Also, search the GSA auctions vs GP. -

I got my M1079 as a non-runner at a GSA auction for $8k. That's after watching another one on GP/IP go for $16k. I was able to talk to the mechanic at the Forest Service where my truck was located and verified the 3600 mileage, plus that it just needed batteries. He fired it up with a jump... -

I have the original vinyl padded flooring on top of the Lizard Skin, then its a rubber floor mat underlay with a woven top for bonding to carpet. Its the rubber spiky stuff under automotive floormats. Available in rolls... -
