Solar for habitat on an FMTV

Multi source off grid power on an LMTV So my M1079 has the original 3" wall insulated box on it which I'm converting into an RV for expedition travel. My plan is, or was, as it may change as I learn, to have the aux and main battery bank connected via a VSR, 4-300W Solar panels connected via a...

Adventure Driven's photos and videos of their M1079

Since I'm still in the developing stages of the design, could you possibly move to coachgeo's thread as well? I would love to discuss this without hijacking Adventure Driven's thread - since their system is done already...

Adventure Driven's photos and videos of their M1079

So if the system has a smart VSR between the standard 4x12-24V battery bank, and the Tesla 24V battery it would keep both banks charged via alternator when driving, solar when parked, and 28V generator as backup, right? M1078 fmtv ctis

Ctis If you connect the 2 terminals at the tank you are in effect sending a closed switch signal. This the section of the CTIS harness to the PCU. The electrical TM would be helpful in running a pin to pin continuity check of the harness.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

How many coats, and where all did you shoot it? My plan is cab doors next, the whole back of the cab. Then if I have any of the 2 gal left over, a second coat in the engine area. I'll topcoat the inner fender areas with either a bedliner or their ceramic Lizard Skin for road debris abrasion.
