Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2023 - August VOTE HERE!

I imagine it could be to some, but I can deal with the tinks instead of a coffee can and the typical rusted out J-pipes that's common with these trucks. Mine has rotted out so it's a more-less a permanent solution once I patch the J-pipe.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2023 - August VOTE HERE!

One of my favorite activities to use the deuce for, it's the perfect range vehicle. Using the cargo cover to attach a large tarp to provide some needed shade from the hot sun proved to be a life saver and the deuce made it easy.

    Misfire M35a2

Keep us updated, many threads end with no solution which isn't any help to those with similar issues. I hope you find the issue and get the beast back to running in top condition.

Cut off the top of the stack and added a 3.5" Ohio Diesel parts exhaust rain flap. 😁

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2023 - August VOTE HERE!

Went to a recent military vehicle swap meet and vehicle display. It was an hour and a half drive, but took me two hours there and two hours back...I took the scenic route and was not disappointed!

    Misfire M35a2

You'll want to pull the injectors and have a buddy crank the engine and watch the spray pattern. If they stream or sputter, that can be the issue, each one should put out a nice mist spray. If the spray patterns look okay, you could test each injector to make sure it pops at the proper psi as...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

That sure an awesome brush guard. Not that I need any new ideas or more projects to dig in my pockets for the cash that's not there....but....🤷😆.

When you said you cracked the injectors, that mean you visually checked the spray pattern? If yours has the flame heater, I'd highly encourage to delete it unless it's something you really need, otherwise those usually lead to more issues than problems that part is there to solve.

3rd Rusted Fuel Tank Cap in 1 year.

Perhaps the diesel fuel has had a little higher content of water in it, diesel will absorb water into it unfortunately. Does your new spin filters have water removing filters and if so, are they drained every so often? Only suggestion I'd have is add a couple bottles of Heet to each tank of fuel...

    Fuel

I'll say if using wmo, the system will get full of crud if it's not cleaned every so often. I found that out the hard way. Luckily, it was fixable by adding some fuel injector cleaners and run more diesel or gas with new oil mixed. Yeah, you'll go through more fuel filters, that's a given, but...

    Spoon’s build thread

It varies. If need be, use a Dremel tool and cut slits into the screws to use a standard bit or screw driver, for the brass fittings, if the flats are rounding off, try a small pipe wrench. I'd replace with all new hardware when you have the chance to do so.

    m35a2 driver seat

For giggles I was looking at FB marketplace to see what kind of seats people are getting rid of for cheap and some have some decent seats for decent prices, but one thing that really caught my eye was some used forklift seats, especially the Toyota seats. Having been a forklift operator for...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Reminds me of something I'd expect to see in "Dawn of the Dead" or "Mad Max" lol. If you have a chance, can you show some more pictures of that bumper, especially the front and up close?

    Finally got me a deuce!

Haha, same here. However, most of us don't put the kind of mileage on a deuce like we would a normal vehicle, but letting the tires sit and not get worked seems to be one of the bigger contributions other than being in constant sunlight that leads to premature dry rot and cracking, other times...

    Finally got me a deuce!

I noticed that one tire had the cracks too. Both of my front tires, look like that and have been since last year. Wasn't until coming back from the Haspin Rally I noticed one had two big gashes in the sidewall that make me nervous so when I get time, I have two decent Goodyear's to swap them out...

    Cooking oil as coolant?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's heard it, lol
