Mcshooter79, I commend you for not giving up on her- I myself have an M928A1 that doesn't run, but it's in much worse shape. At this point, it's likely to become a parts truck or get sold to be the down payment on a house, though.
All serious issues! They are not unlike a boat...I shouldn't have even bought my M928A1 in reality- I've been laughed at for that thing for two years now!
Keeping busy with other (MV involving) things anyway these days, so will see if it happens. So far biggest obstacle has been storage, so...
In another folder in the proverbial file drawer of various MVs I've posted about trying to rescue...
Awhile ago, someone tipped me off about an M246 (Gasser predecessor to the M819) sitting rotting in a yard full of junk. For those of you who haven't spent time living in Fairbanks, Alaska...

Good looking truck! I see the 923 got a paint job?
OK, so obviously everything is on hold right now until COVID19 subsides, which it doesn't look like will be happening for awhile yet, especially given Alaska's case counts lately...it seems we are in our "second wave" as things are starting to reopen. Nevertheless, figured I'd post as others...
The doors and windows don't seal all that well to say the least. They aren't that warm in the winter, but the hot/cold, drafty cab is just part of the whole 5 ton experience. Nothing like them and I wouldn't want anything but. I could live with one as a daily driver.
I spent a fair amount of time in an M925 with fellow member 98G this past fall. It was a blast and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Many people do long trips in these and hate it, if you offered me the chance to ride along 1000 miles on that stiff battery box of a seat I couldn't jump in fast...
