    New tire option for M939 (M923A2) 1991?!

Interesting, if I’m reading the plant code on the tire correctly, they are made in Luxembourg. Sounds like they would ship from Colony in Va Beach.

Any chance you can post a link? I’m having no luck on their web site…

Thread chasing combat wheel assembly studs

Mine are 3/4-16 but I think there was a different size as well. Maybe 5/8? My redneck thread chaser.

    M6 Rolling Wheel Liquid Transporter

I wonder if there are two separate bladders in there, one to hold the fuel, and the other for air to force the fuel out?

Just don’t go over the max specified pressure, as I don’t think these winches have a shear pin. IIRC it’s 1750psi +- 50, but you’ll want to verify with the TM. I think max engine RPM while using the PTO is 1800rpm as well.

    m925a2

Engine RPM will not effect the PTO while the transmission is in gear, unless the transmission/tires are turning, and they will have to be turning quite fast to visibly see the rotation of the winch drum. The pressure is adjusted by shimming the pressure relief valve. This can be found...

Also when pulling trees over, or any other extreme work, it’s safest for you and the truck to use the rear pintle. Several tons of weight in the bed helps.

    m925a2

Your transmission needs to be in neutral for the pto to spin while the truck is stationary. You could check your hydraulic pressure to make sure is adjusted correctly, but these hydraulic winches are pretty gutless, at least with the drum nearly full of cable. My winch will not drag my truck at...

    Cargo bed mounts

Where they’re riveted to the frame? I can only guess without grinding one off, 3/8” min, 1/2” max…

    Cargo bed mounts

Rear mount. Had 3/4x2-3/4” bolts from the factory. Mid mount, the same. The front mount had two captured double springs with two 5/8x9-3/4” bolts per side. Let me know if you need anything else, I finally have my truck back at the house for the summer.

    Steelsoldiers’ BIG M1152A1 HMMWV Project!!

Looking great! All that time spent doing it correctly will really pay off. Also make sure you get your lighting worked out, black is hard enough already. Plus it’s very tough getting a solid covering over color matching primer, especially if you can’t see the wet edge on all those irregular...

    Can I revisit wet stacking?

Add some grape cool aid, and I’ll bet you can eradicate every raccoon, skunk and possum within a three mile radius with that!

    923A1 Trouble After Welding

They most likely blew the diode on the top (start) solenoid in the pcb while monkeying with batteries or reconnecting them wrong with the switches on. Never let a shop unfamiliar with these trucks operate them or touch the electrical system.

    923A1 Trouble After Welding

If your battery switch is still functioning, jumping the big C&D terminal is not going to help, as that is essentially what the battery switch does. Try screwing the fuel shut off in, flipping the battery switch on, start switch to run, then jump the small trigger wire (#74 iirc?) terminal and...

Feasibility of Solar Panel augmentation with existing MEP backup/additive power or just add larger genset?

First, I know very little, and by no means am l a solar or electrical expert by a long stretch! I know there are charge controllers that have a generator start function for when your house battery bank gets low. Then I think there are large split phase inverter systems that can handle your A/c...

Japanese tires, made in the US of A! I think most of our Nittos are made here. My wife has a set of Ridge Grapplers on here Jeep, been a very good tire so far. I also run a lot of Toyos, great tires as well, but those I have are made in Japan.
