Yes sir. I went directly off the alternator because the cable was shorter that-a-way. The breaker is there to protect the inverter and just in case the cable got "rubbed" somehow or other. I didn't want sparks from that big fat wire - for sure.

There is a rumor that this weekend is the time.
I sure would like to make it this year.
Been gathering up my green stuff to possibly buy some green stuff.

I don't know... So far, I don't think anybody at GovPlanet would give a darn about how much something sells for. If they actually gave a crap, then stabbing things with fork trucks and bending drive shafts wouldn't happen. But that is an OPINION and we all have one of those.

There is a member here that sells Master locks - keyed alike sets.
I have purchased several sets so everything I have uses one key...

Might be worth starting now - soaking the threads with your favorite penetrating oil. A week of squirting it daily isn't too much. You might find a steering wheel puller that could be rented at your local parts house...

Welcome to the Outfit!
Well, it seems that @M35fan beat me to the punch on asking for pictures... You should definitely create a thread for you and your truck. It really is amazing what happens over time when you have a new-to-you truck and a camera. :)
And @TomTime beat me to the punch...

It is funny how it works - at least for me. I have a M1088 that has a 3126 so it is a little newer than my M1089. The M1089 has a 3116 in it. That particular truck will sit for a month and fire right off every time. The M1088 will sit for a week and be fine. A week and a couple of days -...

Welcome to the Outfit!
The books (TM's) for your M1089 is part of the 1083 Series of vehicles. A link for that is below. They are BORING but a lot of things are in them. Flow Charts for troubleshooting and part numbers in another book. Search is your friend! Chances are that you will...

Nice find @chucky !
The cool part is that the tank drain would still be at about the same level - about "frame high". I wonder if there is a minimum requirement for the number of tanks? Maybe there is a two tank minimum - just to CYA if one tank ruptured?
@Mavcaster , this might be an...

So, I can't claim any sort of engineering degree associated with Air Brake systems. I can say that with the past 40 years of experience with air brake systems - I have never seen air tanks any higher than in side the frame rails. The M1088 and that family of trucks have three tanks. You...

There you go... Trying to have a little fun here.
@Light in the Dark and/or @Guyfang can give you better suggestions than I.
The generator out back cranks up on a timer once a week.
It runs for an hour, then shuts back down and the "pole power" is restored.
.
Well... It appears that someone may have made modifications to YOURS, but basically yours looks somewhat "stock" but is shorter than what I might call "stock".
I did a quick web search and yours appears to be about a foot shorter than normal...
.
Guessing there are no part numbers at all?
Looking at the picture, it looks like one sensor has a single electrical connector (maybe self grounding?) and the other might appears to have two electrical connections? Possibly?
