Here is the Ultimate Tilt mechanism!
I didn't bother to do any real research. I spotted one though out in front of the car wash down in the big city of Monroe, NC. On a rainy or windy day it folds itself up to protect it from the "elephants of the weather". Have no real idea how much...

Looking forward to seeing you there. The helicopter rides are weather permitting. Almost sure there isn't any sort of pre-booking. On the other hand, if you happen to encounter the pilots, there might be a way to arrange a special flight.
Link below is for the show in case you haven't seen...

Under the spare tire. The battery wires run up toward the cab into the Polarity Protection Box first... That is a good place to investigate. Disconnect those new batteries, then remove the 12v and 24v and grounds and clean that box up.
Might also be useful to look at the fuse box in front...

Not my part. I found the picture of how it was used.
@MarkM said he has one in Post #8 above.
Guessing it might be a foot long? Just a guess.
Wonder if that would be enough length to solve the problem?

Hate to admit that I know nearly nothing - but I did save a picture from a 2014 post from @MWMULES .
This is how it is installed.
Thinking though... Is your lunette ring bolted on? If so, I know for sure on my M989a1 there is an extension bolted on.

Seems that I read on here somewhere that there was a rash of that problem. Using NOS rubber that had maybe been in a warehouse that wasn't air conditioned maybe. Plain old deterioration. Seems like somebody in the "Big 3" had the problem. Having done it once and having almost the same...

So... If you are going to remove the hydraulic brakes - does that mean you have no need for brakes at all? These hydraulics could definitely be repaired (assuming they don't work?).
If you don't need brakes at all and another assumption - and you mentioned removing the pintle - I am...

As @Mogman mentioned - Please crack the books - as much for your safety as anything. Wouldn't hurt for the safety of the folks around you too. Definitely don't use the high idle as a cruise control. Imagine if you NEED to stop and your brain is just a fuzz slow remembering the high idle -...

Story Time with Tim
Way back when... Shortly after we used to ride a dinosaur to school and back, I worked in a shop that repaired MV's for a utility contractor. We got the jobs in the woods and swamps that nobody else wanted - and were paid handsomely for that work (back in the day).
With...

I understand they even have a timeout card for recruit training. I know nothing more than that. How many times before you are sent home for good and so on... I personally wouldn't want to be "in a spot" and have somebody like that covering my back.

Just gotta remember that LEDs and these trucks will cause turn signals not work sometimes.
Solid State flasher helps but sometimes even that doesn't work. At least for the moment, when you do any initial testing and then any subsequent PD - having the incandescent bulbs installed might...

REALLY IMPORTANT: The serial number that you have on the liability insurance that you buy needs to match the title paperwork. Padding with zero's though should be discovered by the DMV and not information that you give them. I couldn't find reference here but I am almost sure somebody here...
