Yes that is 3/4 of an inch from the center of the pivot bolt to the top of the frame cross member.......wondered if anyone out there can translate german? On the original german title it says "Sonderkoffer".....thanks

Hello Johan....the distance from the center of the pivot bolt to the top of the rear frame cross member is 3/4 of an inch......the distance between the bed cross member and the frame is 4 inches....hope thats what you need.......dose the flat bed hard cab you have not have pivots ? I thought...

Pivot point is below the cross member.....i restored the mog in 1993...dont drive it much...it hasnt ever been washed since then.

The pivot mount is so the frame can flex without binding....the frame was designed to twist...these are some photos ...hope that may help.

My unimog a 1963 cargo bed....the mounting is pivots front and rear and two hard mounts in the center...

Well sorry again...after running to the garage to inspect the old 404....i see it has a 4 point connection a pivot point at the front a pivot point at the rear and hard connections each side midway.

Oh sorry somone elses bed frame....i think the problem you will run into putting a school bus body on is the twisting of the frame....the cab has a three point connection...the bed frame also....they have to flex separately.....the hard connection beween the two i dont think will work....im not...

Hey johan....your bed frame looks alot like mine....have to dig out some photos....the tube running down the center....you know what thats for? Stowage for the tow bar!!!! I will try and get a photo of mine.

Mine is a1963. I guess you saw the photos....as original as i could get....after 30 or so years im still not done....have the bench seat....bows.....spars...haven't cleaned or painted those yet....no tarp.....a work in progress.....its all good....i enjoy the work.

To me restoration isnt a full back to orignal factory condition...its bringing an old vehicle back to life....she will run again...i think that is great....power to you...

Well i have just got electrics back in place....she cranks over.....now for some fuel....im not going with the original tank just yet....a remote can....will try to adapt a jerry can....i dont run it much anyway...everthing is topped up...no leaks so far....im happy. Until later.....

Well first off when i got the black widow bite i was out picking black berrys...had a camo bdu jacket on ...stuck my hand in the pocket....oh my felt like i was stabbed with a red hot needle....just thought it was a thorn.....a few hours later got sick as a dog.....for about a week. couldnt...

I hope you did well today johan...that photo of the spider did not help me sleep last night....i was biten by a black widow many years ago ....was very sick for about a week....lost 8 pounds....couldnt eat anything...bad...bad ...please be very careful to stay away from them...kill em...saftey...

It looks like i shot about 2 or 3 rolls of film that day....yes film....35mm...in those days there were no digital cameras.....digging out old old photos, hope you all like them....i dont say much but a photo is worth a thousand words....take care.
