Ok, so the new hinges worked perfect. They were shifted ever so slightly over. New ones on top, old ones on bottom. New ones on left, old ones on right. See that the rights ones were too much into the center, so they bound. SOLVED!

Success. I lengthened the slots and this worked. Did it with a drill bit, a Dremel and a file. Now to paint so I don't have a rusty mess in 2 weeks.
