    Wiring Harness Question

Ahh! I figured it would be something like this. Out of the three positions on the flasher plug, one of them goes directly to ground on the frame just below where the flasher module bolts to the fender. I think it is the C terminal... I will find out this week!!!

    Wiring Harness Question

Barman, thank you so much for responding. The flashing unit on my truck is bolted to the DS fender and had a three point plug screwed into it. I am not certain as to how the new harness will connect to the flashing unit, but I know it doesn't have the 3 point plug. The 3 point plug that was...

    Wiring Harness Question

Thank you for your reply! I am just now getting to the instrument cluster, so the front axel engagement light problem will probably rear it's ugly head some time this week. Today I have to figure out how to connect the flasher unit.

    Wiring Harness Question

Hello all... I recently purchased a replacement FRONT wiring harness. It very closely matches the existing wiring harness, but the new harness has several different wire numbers compared to the existing. Additionally, the new wiring harness has connectors that the existing one does not have...

    Deuce Wiring

I did indeed purchase a new front wiring harness, the same on listed in the link (5995-00-076-6001, PN 10896819). Super excited to get it and today was the day it arrived. As I compared the new harness to the existing one in the truck, I found a plethora of differences. I can probably...

What did you do to your trailer today.

The wheels and tires look GREAT! I always wanted an M149, but I have absolutely no idea what I would do with it...

What did you do to your trailer today.

I have been searching for these bulbs without success, but I will not daunted! While looking at your earlier pics, I saw the BO cat eye below the service lights was also an LED component, as well as the lights at the very bottom of the housing. Are these two pieces factory for your lights, or...

What did you do to your trailer today.

I love what you have done to your lights! I would like to do the same thing with my trailers. Please let me know where you got the parts, what the part numbers are, and if you don't mind, what (if any) modifications did you need to make. Inquiring minds what to know !!! TIA...

Wire Loom vs Wire Wrap question

Thank you for the ideas. I considered using electrical tape as well. It was also suggested that I use a non-adhesive wire loom tape. What do you folks think about using a non-adhesive loom tape?

Wire Loom vs Wire Wrap question

Hello all... Today I removed the rear wiring harness from my parts deuce. It has a couple of damaged connectors that I will repair but it seems to be in good shape overall. The wire wrap however, is really brittle, stiff, hard to coil, and in some places has broken and peeled. The wires...

    Strange Part

I spent 24 years in the Army as a supply puke. After 24 years, hopefully, you learn your job.

    Strange Part

The NSN for this kit is 2530-01-388-4240. The MATCAT code if F2200, meaning it is a stock funded item, and can be procured at the unit level. Although purchased at the unit level with Class IX funds, it could only be installed at a depot maintenance level.

    Strange Part

NDT... Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! I found this add-on kit in TM 9-2320-386-24P, Figure 120 (+). I think I will put this on my daily driver. I have no idea how to bench test it, but I will figure something out. I haven't been able to locate a rebuild kit yet, but I am...

    Strange Part

A while ago, I purchased a deuce for its parts. I have been slowly removing parts and pieces, cleaning and painting them as I go and putting them in my "Parts Room". While working on disassembly, I noticed this critter attached to my steering linkage. I studied it for a bit, following the...

    Deuce brake line questions

So far, all the line nuts that I have seen seem to be steel. I can't remember ever seeing brass or copper line nuts. The few on the lines that I have removed from my truck seem to be in good shape, although covered in OD Green paint.

    Deuce brake line questions

I checked the website for FedHill. A 25' coil of 5/16" is $106.95 and a 25' coil of 1/4" is 89.95 (not sure about shipping costs). I figure I can reuse the nuts on my existing lines rather than buying new ones. I also think I can clean and reuse the brass connection blocks. As soon as I can...
