I believe the M172s have a removable king pin and the trailer should come with both. It has been years since I had one, but I think the king pin is accessible through a door on top above the king pin.

I recently started my M925A2 at 11 degrees Fahrenheit; it had been four degrees that night. The truck fired off on my second try. For what it's worth, I am only using two 6TLs. I hate starting my trucks when it is that cold, but I needed to use it to recover a crate.

Good point. I was thinking more generally, but, you are right...should not be a problem running it continuously for a little while.

A friend once drove an M923A2 with an air leak and it burned out his compressor. Comparing air leaks is like comparing most things without seeing them.

Do you have two vehicles and two sets of jumper cables? Jump start the truck. As long as your batteries are not totally dead, and it doesn't sound like it, it should start. Then, move the truck to a location where you can troubleshoot/charge/replace/repair.

Welcome from about 5 miles south of you! Regarding the latter, you are talking about an M274 mule. They are really cool.

A trip to an Allison dealer is one of the first things I do when I get a truck. I let them service the transmission, check the shift points, and adjust/replace anything they suggest.
