The windshield wipers are air powered and the plumbing is behind the dash around the steering wheel. Might want to check the lines and the position of the wiper switches.
That truck is tougher than woodpecker lips.:goodjob::goodjob:
The Cat transmission is great once you get the hang of it.
My method (when bobtail or empty trailer) is to start in 3rd gear, wind it out to around 1900 rpm and slap shift it up through the gears. To slap shift just cup your hand...
When I was in the Active Army some of the 900 series trucks had a problem with a coating on the inside of the tanks dissolving and gunking up the system. There was no rhyme or reason for what caused it. You could have five trucks line up and only one or two would have the problem. The official...
HEMMT's have straight air brakes and if it won't crank the brakes will have to be caged (which means you have no brakes) or air will have to be put in the system through the glad hands to release the brakes (preferred method).
If the truck has been ran out of fuel it will be a bit*h kitty to...
We've all had similar adventures. One of my deuces rolled downhill and hit my van trailer (some dummy forgot to set the parking brake) and cost me a new hood and grill. Salvage what you can and move on.
I used to do recoveries at Redstone all the time. Is it coming from Redstone or the National Guard unit off post?
Let me know if I can help. Joe used to have my number......if he don't PM me.
I have the M927A2 with the super singles. I've been clocked at 70 in it towing an M923. I don't recommend going that fast. I was going by the speedo and thought I was loafing along around 60. I don't think they adjusted the speedos when they put the big tires on them. The ones with the 8.3 are a...
That's news to me. I just walked into my local Progressive office a few days ago and paid my premium.....with the M927A2 idling in the parking lot. My agent is an old guy that was in the Army in the 50's and he always gets a kick out of my huge "deuce and a half".
As far as filing a claim I...
I have a buddy that has to get a mid-sized farm tractor with front end loader moved to a safe harbor and held until it can be shipped. If anyone is headed toward Alabama with a partially empty trailer or needs something to fill out a load on a commercial carrier PM me and I'll send you his...
Fellow member SMURPH and I took our trucks to First Friday in Gadsden, AL the other night. Met a lot of folks that really liked the trucks.
The photo on the right was taken at my primary film location, an abandoned steel mill in Gadsden.
I been to five marrins, several buryins, two rodeos and a goat roping and I ain't never seen nothin like that.
I bet it was easy to repair out in the boondocks.
This museum has moved from Aberdeen, MD to Fort Lee, VA. You might give them a call. They can at least point you in the right direction.

Bring lots of money.
The double breasted Driptroit will suck the bottom out of the fuel tanks.
There were designed by an idiot after consulting with a moron. Nothing is easy to get to or work on.
The rear steer makes backing onto trailers a real PITA. Ask me how I know.
I drove them in the...
