    Trans Shift Points

Do you need to tee off the hose going to the modulator, or can you just put a hose onto the metal line going to the modulator and hook your gauge up there?

Why did you change the pump head if everything was working properly? Just wondering.

    Trans Shift Points

The modulators are set at the factory to plug and play. Whether it is a new trans or a rebuilt, it should not matter. The pump will pump what it is designed for if it is working properly. The adjustable modulators allow for fine-tuning, 2-4 MPH. If everything is working properly, and the VRV is...

    Trans Shift Points

If you're getting the correct vacuum from the pump into the regulator, and after moving the VRV all the way forward and all the way back, and it doesn't change the shifting, you probably have a broken spring in your regulator. If you have the original regulator, it is probably shot.

Do you have the correct vacuum at all the hoses after you rearranged the hoses? Have you serviced your transmission lately? Clean fluid and a clean filter. If you're not getting the correct vacuum to the transmission then it sounds like a possible bad VRV.

    Hard Start Issue

My experience with return fuel lines are they seem to be a regular maintenance item. I always have extra line on hand in the event that one leaks at an un opportune time, like out on the road somewhere. If one goes bad it might be followed by others not far behind. Be prepared and keep them on hand.

I don't quite understand a splice in the line? Is that temporary until you get new return lines.

    Trans Shift Points

Is your modulator a newer one or an older one? I believe the modulator should hold at about 20 H.G. You have removed the line to the modulator and don't have any transmission leaks? l thought it should read between 12-15 HG. The valve could be your problem. Did you check the vacuum down at the...

Test it coming out of the vacuum valve down at the modulator. At idle I believe it should be at 12-15.

    Screw-on style fuel filter

I don't drive mine more than 2-3 thousand miles a year. I change mine about every 3 years. I don't know if it needs it more often, but I have never had water in the fuel, and the ones I've cut open looked clean inside.

When my door lock cylinders failed, I replaced the cylinder locks with new ones for a chevy k-30. Now Instead of everyone who owns a cucv being able to borrow my vehicle, now they have to ask my permission.

    Rotted vacuum hose?

Yes, run the hoses directly to the regulator. I'm not sure of the hose, cut a small section off and take it to the parts store. 2- 6 All you need to do is cap it off.

    Hard Start Issue

A simple possibility would be a leaking return fuel line. Check all of your return fuel lines with the truck running. Check the connection from the fuel filter to the injection pump under the manifold. It is accessible by reaching under the rear of the manifold with your arm and tightening the...
