First off, welcome to to the hobby. You have made the first most important step by coming to this site. Join up and enjoy some of the best advise you can get from some very knowledgeable folks. I just gave you all the knowledge I have...
Now about that truck, that is a fine 5 ton! I have a five...
Well Doghead, you finally solved a very old problem for me on my M37. I went to NAPA and bought a LF 12 flasher. I picked this one because it is two wire and loud. I installed it and mounted it to the fire wall where I removed the stock unit. Now my turn signals work just fine and I can hear...
I had a problem with my truck loosing it’s prime. I put an electric fuel pump on it right at the tank. It started right up. Then I noticed a fuel leak. One of the plastic lines on the pump had a split. In was on the suction side so it didn’t leak until I put pressure on it. Replaced the plastic...
You are so right. Finding a working M series coil is a challenge. I’ve been told the new chrome ones come from Korea. I don’t know if that is true but they don’t take the heat very well. I imagine it gets pretty hot inside the distributor housing even with the little vacuum line that is supposed...

Thanks! We restored this 151 for my wife from 2014 - 2016. It scored 99.07% at the 2017 convention. We had a lot of help from a couple of guys. One of them know these MUTTS inside and out, the other guy was a sheet metal and mechanical genius. We taught my wife, Jan, how to weld, grind, and...
Once you get the floor rust under control, take a look at horse trailer rubber mat (tractor Supply). I covered the floor in my M934 with it. It’s about a half inch thick, has a diamond plate pattern on one side and is made from recycled tires. It’s very dense stuff. I cut it with a saber saw...
If Simp says it works, it does! I would like to know if it dries or stays flexible and can it be painted over... What we need is a vat of this stuff big enough to dip the cab in. 😜
My 66 year old fuel pump gave up. I would like some opinions on whether to rebuild, replace or abandon the mechanical pump and switch to an electric fuel pump?
If your M925 is in good shape, why wouldn’t you tow this trailer with that? A couple of air lines and an inter-vehicle cable and you’re all set. Once you get it home do you plan to use it behind your 925?
Welcome to the site. So sorry to hear about your father in law. Do you know if he was a member of Steel Soldiers? If so, perhaps we could look for some past posts that might shed some light on the history of this truck. Who knows someone near Indianapolis with a deuce that might be able to test...
