Gang,
Winters CA. has a small car show every 2nd Tuesday thru Oct. I brought the 1941 Indian once last year and it got a lot of attention. I'm planning to drive either the Deuce or the Indian again next Tuesday April 12th from 5pm to 9pm. Anyone want to join me?
What I've learned is that you tighten the wheel bearings until it drags a bit then back off 1/4 turn. ALSO, I've knocked the drum back and forth with a rubber mallet to remove the excess pre-load on the bearings. It should spin nicely by hand. It should also have no side play when you try to...
Thank you all SS members for this recognition. Everything I've learned in regards to MVs, paint, body work, mechanics, has been from this site. I am amazed at the caliber of restorations performed by other SS members, so winning this award is indeed an honor and a privilege.
To appease PB
My Indian 741B, serial #3218, returned from NZ. It was civilianized and subsequently left un-cared for. I saved it and restored it to Mil. Spec.
